ArchiUS Architecture + Design

I hired ArchiUS to architect and manage an extensive remodel. I was very impressed by their professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. In this review, I will share my experience of working with them and highlight some of the features of their work that I liked the most. Design Process ArchiUS followed a collaborative and iterative design process that involved me at every stage. Right from the beginning they listened to my needs, preferences, and vision for the house. They presented me with several sketches and models that captured the essence of what I wanted. We iterated the design dozens of time. ArchiUS was patient enough to go through the iterations until I was happy with the designs. They were open to feedback and suggestions all along. ArchiUS drove the permitting process as well which I really appreciate. Construction Management ArchiUS helped me find contractors, structural engineers, survey partners, landscape architects, and many more trades people. ArchiUS were closely involved during the construction phase. Changes in design were inevitable as we discovered new opportunities during the process. Team ArchiUS were creative, agile, and thorough with their changes in design. ArchiUS coordinated some difficult design decisions that had to be made along the way with the engineers, contractors, and other trades people. Finishes selection My project required us to make hundreds of decisions on finishes. Team ArchiUS helped create an inventory and timeline of what decisions needed to be made and by when. The mood boards reflected my taste and were a great starting point for me to start selections. On several occasions ArchiUS did not shy away from asking me to reconsider some of my selections which I really appreciate. Final Outcome I am very happy with the final outcome of the project. The house is beautiful, functional, and comfortable. It reflects my personality and style and suits my lifestyle and needs. It has everything I wanted and more, from the gorgeous kitchen, great outdoor space, cozy bedrooms, elegant bathrooms, and the landscaped garden. It is truly my dream home. Conclusion I would highly recommend Team ArchiUS to anyone who is looking for a reliable, creative, and professional architectural firm. They are experts in their field, and they deliver high-quality work. They demonstrate high work ethic and are easy to work with. They made the whole process of my extensive remodel much easier. Their project management approach is the sweet spot between what complete design and build firms offer (higher cost, higher degree of project management support) and doing everything on your own (lower cost but higher time commitment). I am very grateful to them for helping me turn my vision into reality.

The main reason we selected ArchiUS for our home remodel at that time was because most of the architect in area did not have dates :) and we are really glad we went them. Ours was entire home remodel with frequent changes in scope and plan. And also overall project was to be executed in multiple phases over the period of year. Swati, Uttara and team are professionals to the core. This was our first remodeling project and they helped us throughout the process - they took our high level ideas and came up with detailed plan. They were very receptive to our feedback and made adjustments to the design as needed. They also helped us with selecting materials for the project - flooring, bathroom tiles, cabinets, lighting etc. We quickly realized that remodeling during covid was challenging especially with supply chain delays. Archius team were able to provide ideas and tips on how to keep the project moving. Often times they helped unblock our contractors by giving them right guidance. Their in-person home visits were super useful in making sure that project was going as per design. Highly recommend them for future projects

We worked with Archius designs for a large remodel in Redmond. They strike the perfect balance between listening to what we want and stepping in with advice when there was a better option. They were super patient as we worked through some revisions on bathroom design late in the timeline too. Uttara and Swati designed for our kitchen and bathroom remodel and were very easy to work with through the end to end process. They are straightforward, open and honest professionals and very flexible in the way they approached us. They also operate with a growth mindset and take feedback well and incorporate on improving the way they work. They are on top of everything and that helped ease our nerves quite a bit, having gone through this the 1st time. They are very hands-on and helped with selections for everything. They communicated clearly in multiple ways with our contractor so nothing gets missed. It was a pleasure to work with them and I look forward to future remodels with them.

Like many projects, our project had vague goals to start with. We felt that our basement media room was too small and that we needed a home office. Archius Design took our vaguely defined goals and tried to understand what we really wanted. Turns out what we really wanted was a basement remodel to make it usable! We cannot emphasize how pleased we are with Archius Design on our project! They were with us every step of the way. As the project evolved, our requirements changed. They remained very flexible and patient. They helped us coordinate with the contractor, his workers, the HVAC people, the people designing the cabinets and many more people. The end result is just stunning and something we are extremely happy with. The thing we would like to emphasize is that Uttara and Swati (and really all members of Archius Design) are not only super creative but also try their hardest to figure out what the client really wants and what would be in their best interest.

Uttara and Swati are a great team at Archus Design. We had very limited space, and a very awkward primary bath and closet in our “new to us” 50-year-old home we purchased last summer. They came up with a design that works really well and helped us to select the beautiful tiles and cabinets. They also recommended a great contractor and worked closely with him and his crew to be sure things were done as planned. We are very pleased with the end result.

Our family needed changes to our 20 year old home in order to accommodate our evolving needs with COVID-19. We needed a space where a parent could isolate comfortably, an additional study for remote work and learning and upgrades to our master bath and bedroom. Uttara and Swati gave us a number of design options that could help realize these goals and helped us understand the tradeoffs with each option. Through these conversations we were able to refine our understanding of what we wanted for our house both from functional and aesthetic points of view. They put us in touch with great contractors, one of whom was able to bring these project ideas to fruition on time and at a reasonable cost. We love the changes to our home and it was made possible because the folks at Archius provided project vision and guidance that were fine tuned to meet our needs.

ArchiUS remodeled our media room, kids play room, lower floor and deck. The media room has become "the" place in the house. They are are insightful, reasonably priced and can reimagine a space like we could never have. So glad we hired them! Highly recommend!
