About Us
J.Jorgensen is a Twin Cities-based design firm. The firm's approach centers around the notion of offering a fuller, richer client experience rooted in unique philosophies and perspectives.
Collectively, the designers are interested in providing personal, individualized client services and experiences. Between the casual and formal, refined and rustic, modern and antique, J.Jorgensen approaches design as a reflection of the client, with the ultimate goal of creating interiors that accentuate the lives and lifestyles of those who inhabit them.
As both influence and foundation, our firm brings to each project years of study, practical experience, and a diverse range of global interaction with the arts, architecture, dining, fashion, and culture. Engaging the worlds of art, architecture, and design from historical and contemporary perspectives provides a basis for an educated, sophisticated approach to the interior environment.
With an editorial sensibility, J.Jorgensen emphasizes the importance of the architectural as well as the decorative aspects of the home—from the curatorial, personal story of furniture, art, and objects, to the redefining and enhancing of architecture and space.

Jenny's innate ability to transform a space is unrivaled in the Minneapolis market-place. We have brought her into our home for various consultations including floor refinishing, color selection, appliance purchasing, and just now, our basement renovation. She has impeccable taste and somehow always knows what we need to get the exact look/feel that we want.
I was a bit resistant to using a designer - as cost and material choices were a bit scary. Jenny is great at working within her clients' tastes and budget. We have learned to "buy right" the first time around, even if cost is slightly higher. Jenny's options always end up being what we want, so listening to her from the start, helps to eliminate wasteful purchasing. Her space planning is on point, always creating unique spaces with beautiful flow. Even in the framing stage, our basement has been transformed into a multi-functional and stunning layout - perfect for us and future owners.
Jenny takes classic homes to new heights when combining modern finishes, impeccable material selection, and art integration. We will continue to use her to perfect our space and then to architect and design our next home from top to bottom. I can't recommend her enough!

We started working with Jenny several months ago with a general request to design us a second floor master suite. We had talked a lot about gutting the attic of our 1.5 story house, but hadn't done anything until Jenny stepped in.
When we went into our first meeting we didn't have much of an idea for what we wanted and Jenny provided structure/direction around our options.
My boyfriend and my style is similar, but having an outside perspective has been helpful in making decisions. She has been patient with us through vague direction (on our part), many priorities and busy schedules. She has a great sense of style and understands what will work with our lifestyle and has been conscious of our budget.
I can't wait for construction to start and for Jenny's vision to come to life.

Comment from J. Jorgensen:
Mary, your design was so much fun to create - thank you so much for your open mind and your trust in me. I truly believe that this design would not have come together without YOU and it is a complete reflection of your addictive energy! Thank you for the opportunity to be involved in your home design :)

Jenny is great to work with! She has an amazing design vision and was willing to go the extra mile. My husband and I met with her recently to discuss a basement refinishing and she was open to our ideas as well as bringing up some great ones we would have never thought of. Also, my husband and I have very different ideas of what our dream basement should be. She was able to bring the two visions together and make us both happy.

When we hired j.jorgensen, our bathroom was in complete disrepair and we had no idea where to even start. Jenny took one look and knew just what to do - her vision was instantaneous and spot on. The design turned out beautifully. It is both reflective of the era of our house and our style.
We love our new space and are very much looking forward to our next project with j.jorgensen.

Initially we discussed the project identifying wants, needs, and possible contraints (including $$). Our second meeting we were presented with several options for general layout (reconfiguring the facilities was an option since we were replacing all of the plumbing). After identifying the layout we met again to begin material selections. The entire design process went very smoothly and saved my wife and I an incredible amount of time and arguments. Overall not a significant portion of the project cost and worth every cent. We couldn't be more pleased with the results.

J. Jorgensen was wonderful to work with. We hired them to help us envision how to turn the upstairs of our 1.5 story house into a master suite and it was a great experience.
They take into account the individual tastes of their clients but then align those tastes with their whole universe of knowledge, helping us think of things we never would have thought of on our own.
They're good about scheduling meetings to fit into your schedule and they don't seem to get too freaked out when your dog barks at them when they come to the door....
Get in now because this company is going to take off and you're going to be on a waiting list.
