clark kitchens and construction

As an architectural designer, I have worked with Clark Kitchens on several projects, and I could not be happier with their performance. They are clear, detail oriented and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them for any residential work.

Joe Clark did an extensive inside/outside remodel and rehabilitation of my 2230sf house during 2012. He vastly improved on the architect's plans and used his team of excellent subcontractors and specialists to complete the various phases of the job. He gave a great deal of attention to design and color, and I felt he cared for the outcome as if it had been his own home. Many of the design aspects which enhanced the final product were a result of brainstorming between Joe, the subcontractors and myself, and I truly appreciated the energy, creativity and experience which he brought to the task. In particular, the kitchen and downstairs bathroom were sad looking places which were completely gutted and transformed into gleaming and functional places of distinction for the house, despite the constraints of space. This was the biggest expenditure of my life, and Joe's clear communication and spreadsheets allayed my anxieties about the money being properly spent and accounted for. Based on my experience with this $300,000+ project, I would summarize Joe Clark in the following way: highly intelligent, experienced, creative, knowledgeable about color, design, materials and lighting. A congenial and ethical fellow with excellent communication and project management skills.

this was our first major remodel and Joe Clark was calm and organized though out the experience.w added a family room and he showed us several ideas on how to utilize the space. despite santa monica inspectors it finished on time and within budget.

Joe Clark is a true professional and gentleman (yes, it's apparently possible in the construction biz - who knew?) He is also great with the details - both in construction and on the invoices/bills. He doesn't forget a thing, is a great listener, honest, responsible, and finishes the job to the last bit of minutia. He understands the jobs of every member of the trade - and also of the architect and engineer. Esp perfect person to hire if you're too busy to handle things on your own and want piece of mind.

It was a really good experience working with Joe Clark. Our office, Scrafano Architects, was hired to design a second unit on a lot in Venice. The budget was tight and we were building a new house over a parking garage with a double-height space and a bedroom mezzanine above. Joe Clark was always ready to come up with new solutions for difficult on site situations and was never willing to let the design intent be compromised. The client was happy, we were very happy. All of us at Scrafano Architects hope to work with him again!
