We worked with Jeremy Lew and Associates on a full home remodel, which included adding a third-floor attic. It was an extensive project, for which we moved out of our home for a full year, but we have absolutely loved the results. A project of our size is not without surprises, but the communication throughout the process with Victor, Bob and Robert was wonderful. When issues arose we could address them quickly. We've been very happy with the design and craftsmanship of the work, and are really pleased with the results. We have recommended Jeremy Lew and Associates to several of our friends and neighbors and will happily continue to do so.

We recently added a primary bedroom and bathroom to our home and Robert was terrific to work with. He put an addition on our home twenty years ago and we were just as pleased with Robert and his crew the second time around! The project ran ahead of schedule, the sub contractors were all highly skilled, polite and pleasant to work with and the end result was stunning. We selected the Lew brothers after meeting with several firms, and we definitely made the right choice. Our two-story addition was an enormous design and build effort, and they approached it with discipline - and a great project manager. Their designer worked with us ahead of time to really understand the quality we wanted, and they and their construction teams delivered. On time and on budget. Any time we raised questions or needed to make a change, they worked collaboratively with us. The final result is stunning and we truly love the way everything looks. The new addition looks original to the house, but it adds so much space. The kitchen and master bath were especially beautiful and have made a huge impact on the value of our home.

We recently finished a major house renovation project and have been back in our house for 12 months. Overall, we are very happy with the end result; work was completed quickly and with excellent quality.
We had hired an architect prior to working with Jeremy Lew and Associates, and throughout the project realized the two parties were accustomed to working very differently. Our architect and builder were great, but in hindsight wish we had selected an architect and builder combination that were more familiar with each other. As a result, we ended up with numerous change orders and occasional issues. Some change orders were clearly reasonable and fair, while others seemed unreasonable, such as added cost to allow a plumber to pick up a valve for inside the shower wall (we ended up driving to the warehouse to get it ourselves), or for the flooring team to re-install or replace thresholds removed when refinishing the floors.
While there were items that were frustrating as mentioned above, there were others where the team took ownership for the end result, such as adjusting plumbing to accommodate the vanity we selected and offering to replace steel posts that were not made to the architects specifications (we chose to keep the ones they made because they looked great anyway).
At the end of the day, while the project was not completed exactly as expected and there were disputes that seemed unnecessary, the team at Jeremy Lew and Associates collaborated more often than not to make the best of the situation and work within our budget. We descoped some work and accepted some changes to reduce cost, and they invested at times to cover costs that were underestimated or unanticipated. We reached out for a couple of minor items in the past 12 months after living in our house, and they were reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.
In summary, the process wasn't always easy, but the team often did the right thing at the end of the day and accommodated some unique ideas in our architecture plans, and we think it turned out beautifully.
Many thanks to the team for sticking it out, always answering calls with professionalism, and ultimately delivering a wonderful transformation to our home!

We recently completed an extensive home remodel project with Jeremy Lew and Associates. Robert and Victor were both easy to work with and helped us navigate the entire remodel process. They were kind and patient when we were indecisive, always kept us updated on the timeline, and were creative and happy to problem solve when we ran into a few bumps in the road. It’s obvious they take great pride in their work and we felt this in every stage of house work. Robert was also on-site every day and was easy to communicate with at all points.
As we lived in the house during the beginning of the project, we got to know their subcontractors, who were all meticulous in their work and very courteous. They also kept the house very clean for a construction site.
We are extremely happy with the end result and would use Robert and Victor again in a heartbeat.

Very happy with our choice to use Jeremy Lew and Associates after having interviewed multiple companies for a major addition to our home. Robert evaluated the work on site every day, maintained high expectations over the quality of work from all subs, and a clean job site, and ensured high-quality communications with us throughout the project. The end result was a high-quality job 100% complete with no delays (or days with no activity). We've been through several remodels on our 1980s build and this was by far our best experience.

Robert and team were very helpful during the entire process. We started by drafting our own proposed plans for the renovation of our first floor, and buildout of our unfinished basement. They met with us to understand our wants, create the stamped drawings, expedite permit approval, and get to work with demo and construction - and the results are great. Bob is awesome. He remodeled our master bed/bath and family room. He was there every day to make sure the workers had proper direction and were kept on schedule. He always set our expectations on time, cost, and inconveniences. The job site was kept clean - which is important if you're living in the house while doing construction. He was very generous with his time, helping us with ideas and preventing us from making bad decisions.
I'd absolutely use him again and have recommended him to friends.

Jeremy Lew and Associates came highly recommended to us when it was time to finish our lower level basement and turn it into livable space. We could not have been more pleased with the entire process! Phil, our project manager was the absolute BEST! He was 1000 percent organized, communicative, managing things and our expectations beautifully. We always knew the when’s, where’s and why’s behind what was happening with our build out. He kept us on track with our selections, sending us to equally competent and helpful suppliers for everything we needed to make decisions on. The best complement we can give is to say that when our next project comes up, we know exactly who we will use! It was really just a great experience all around, including the finished space, which is just beautiful! We are beyond happy with the results!

The biggest sign of a good contractor is one you'd happily call time and time again. I am very happy to give a glowing review to Jeremy Lew and Associates (JLA). In 2018 we purchased a 100yr old fixer-upper in the western suburbs of Chicago, interviewed several contractors, and hired JLA to do the renovation. We were thrilled with the results and worked easily together with Phil Korol, our GC and project manager. Since then we have repeatedly used JLA for projects big and small! Phil is an excellent, honest, smart and patient general manager with great problem solving skills. He has always found creative solutions for our old-house problems, has advised us and helped us save money, and has never upsold us on any features or unnecessary buildouts. He patiently listened to all of my ideas and helped guide us. We stayed within our budgets of time and cost, and when we hit a challenge there was always a very reasonable and timely response. They have curated a healthy rolodex of high-quality subcontractors. They also have an in-house designer and elegant architect (Victor Lew!) should you need those services. They will file permits for you and give advice. Phil is fluent in Polish, and you will find that most of the quality tradespeople in this industry are from Poland so this skill is key. From his subcontractor team we particularly love their talented carpenters, tilers and painters. As with most renovation projects, your costs will be consolidated and labor costs lowered if you plan to do the work all at once versus piecemeal. If memory serves me, they guarantee their work for a 2 year period. We heartily recommend them, and friends of ours have gone on to use JLA as well.

I've used Jeremy Lew and Associates for several projects in the past, so when we purchased a new home in Highland Park, that was our first call. We are fanatical about this company! If all businesses ran this way, the world would be a much easier place.
Robert Lew assisted us with literally every aspect of our project from making initial suggestions to discussing the designs/finishes, to showing up on-site throughout the entire buildout. Since we were not moved in yet, it was terrific to get regular updates with photos, questions, suggestions, thoughts, etc.

We were fortunate to work with Victor, Robert and Phil on our 1st floor renovation. The process was probably the most thorough that we've experienced in renovating homes. Victor and Robert had several proposals for us and we were able to decide on the one that met our needs/wants and more importantly our budget. The pricing was a little higher than some other bids, but the combination of design, engineering and project management all-in-one was well worth the price of admission. The quality of the work was superb with all the sub-contractors being very courteous and professional. Phil was a great project manager keeping us informed of all the upcoming decisions and keeping us on time and on budget. He had several good ideas when a few issues came up. Overall, Jeremy Lew & Associates was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend their services.

We recently completed a full kitchen renovation with Jeremy Lew and Associates. They had completed a smaller project for us a year ago (re-construction of our back porch) and we loved working with them and decided to trust them with our kitchen. Start to finish, their work was top notch. We worked with Robert and he was professional, timely, transparent, courteous and kind. We were given written proposals for everything and terms were agreed upon prior to beginning. We worked with Cathy, their kitchen designer, in designing our floor plan and selecting the style and type of cabinets. Cathy has a real eye for layout and design and we could not be happier with her brilliance in our kitchen design (down the pull out step stools disguised as a drawer placed in just the right key areas). Robert was an excellent communicator, we received written updates with the plan and schedule of workers. We moved walls, created a closet, changed plumbing, electrical, you name it. While this was a giant project, we really appreciated how everything was broken down step by step and explained and executed in a manner that was digestible and easy to follow. When issues arose (we had an unexpected leak due to faulty installation of our ice maker (installed by the store where purchased) the crew promptly rectified the issue including re-doing the surrounding floors and replacing a damaged part) We really appreciated the skilled coordination between the multiple players and how everything came together so beautifully in the end. While we hope to never have to do another kitchen renovation, we would work with them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend this fantastic team.

Victor and Robert Lew did an amazing job helping us reimagine and renovate a 1960s ranch home, creating an updated layout that works perfectly for our new empty nest. Downsizing from a home that was more than double the square footage, Victor redesigned the layout of our 1200 sq. ft. ranch allowing for additional bathrooms, a master closet and home office as well as an open floor plan kitchen/dining room/living room which is perfect for when our kids come home to visit. Robert implemented Victor's plans, updating outdated plumbing, electric, landscaping and hardscaping along the way. We're in love with the tile work, refinished wood floors, kitchen/bath cabinetry and quartz counters. Everything came together perfectly! We look forward to enjoying our stunning new home for many years!

We found Jeremy Lew & Associates through a highly recommended referral who said "We love our contractor!" We are THRILLED we did as the team has gone above and beyond. Our project manager, Phil, is extremely detailed, impeccable with communication, and above everything else we fully trust his direction and guidance as we navigate the changing needs of an older home. He always makes us feel like the priority when we know he has 1000 things going on, in a global pandemic none the less.
We originally hired them for a fence & wine fridge install (which were completed quickly and without a hitch) and have since expanded to other areas of our home. Coming off a very challenging home renovation in the city with an unprofessional team we were hesitant to take on more projects when we moved to Winnetka but in working with Jeremy Lew we seek out areas to renovate :). We hope to use them for years to come as we couldn't be happier with the whole team and process.

We reached out to Jeremy Lew & Associates based on the recommendation of a coworker. And I am so glad we did!
We had spent 2 years trying to determine whether we wanted to do a 2nd story addition and major renovation of our 1st floor or just buy a new house. Jeremy Lew & Assoc. offered a feasibility study for us to better understand what are options were for a renovation and the related cost. This was exactly what we needed. Victor developed a design that we instantly loved and that really worked for our family. He took into consideration our desires, the budget and the overall design/appearance. He created a design that made the 2nd floor addition feel and look like it was always there (inside and outside.)
Our project manager, Robert H, was really great to work with. Communication was very clear and timely. He was always on top of everything. No detail got past Robert. He also helped us to make decisions along the way and recommended changes that improved the function, feel and look of our home. The work by the various teams throughout the entire process was seamless and always of the highest quality.
Every step of the way was executed well, from the design to the finishing touches. They got us back into a beautifully renovated home on time. They were professional, responsive, personal, easy to communicate with, and made our home their priority. I would highly recommend Jeremy Lew & Associates to anyone looking to make improvements to their home.

We had the Jeremy Lew crew help us with a remodel of our kitchen/dining room and updated our entryway and garage. We found them as they seemed to be the best at design and construction. The team did a great job with communication when we both were away from the house at work. They were very clear about cost/budget once we found unexpected issues and once we expanded the scope of our project. Amazing work! We planned a huge renovation before we closed on a new home. They were on top of everything, ahead of schedule in the planning phases, below the budget we expected. Then we were unable to buy due to a seller complication and Lew and Associates refunded most of our money. We were shocked they would do that after all the work they put into it. I am definitely going to hire them again in the future.

From beginning to end, they handled the unique challenges of a historic, landmark house in a City of Chicago historic district. More importantly, they understood the importance of maintaining the historic integrity of our house while modernizing it for a family of six. Phil Korol, our project manager, paid careful attention to even the smallest details and recommended minor changes and thoughtful touches that have made an enormous difference in how we use our home and how it functions. We used Bob Lew from Jeremy Lew and Associates to build a deck and re-do parts of a screened in porch on our home. We purchased a home this past summer and the 2 story deck was in terrible condition. We got several quotes from several firms regarding what needed to be replaced/re-built. Their pricing was fair, their work ethic was impeccable and the actual work completed was beautiful. The portions of the deck that were salvageable were saved and the portions that needed to be torn down and re-built were done so with better materials, are much more aesthetically pleasing and more durable for the long term. Bob was a pleasure to work with, approachable, easy to reach when needed and clearly knows his stuff. His team of workers were really lovely, they worked hard every day they were on site and worked tirelessly until our project was completed. The work is pristine, beautifully done and perfect. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I recently moved out of the house that Jeremy Lew and Assoc designed and built for us 24 years ago. It is hard to express just how much my family enjoyed living in that house. I remember planning it with Jeremy - how much thought he put into how the space could accommodate the flows of family life, the formal versus informal space, and little touches of beauty all around. The space worked just the way we envisioned it. We had plenty of family togetherness in the open floor plan of the kitchen and family room, but could have grownup time in the living room and dining room. Also, the flow made it a wonderful house for parties and entertainment. Guests gathered in the living room to listen to the piano, the dining room for food, the kitchen for drinks, and onto the back deck for a breath of fresh air. I cannot count the number of wedding brunches, birthday parties, graduation picnics, and family holidays I hosted there! And everyone who walked in always commented on what a lovely house I had. Well, life marches on, the kids are out of the house, and life takes new directions. As I sadly say good bye to what was my safe haven for over 20 years I want to say that I absolutely LOVED that house and my family was lucky to live in such a beautiful space. Thank you to the team at Jeremy Lew for all the care they put into planning and building it.

We used Jeremy Lew and Associates to add an addition and complete an extensive remodel on our 1926 colonial. They handled everything, from design through completion, without issue and got us back in our home on time. The design and workmanship was excellent, maintaining the original character of the home while still adding modern touches. The entire experience was simply great, we had constant communication with everyone involved and quick resolutions when the inevitable issue did arise. Having Robert, Victor, and Phil (our project manager) available at every step helped alleviate a lot of the stress that goes with these types of projects. I would recommend them with no reservations to anyone looking to remodel their home and look forward to working with them again in the future.

We first used Jeremy Lew & Associates to build a large, complex deck off the back of our house leading over the ravine (over $100K job). It was so incredible, we offered them the chance to bid on the renovation of our 1931 Spanish Mediterranean (of which we were ready to pull the trigger with another vendor). We used Jeremy Lew & Assoc for an expansion of our house earlier this year. They are truly a “one stop” shop, handling everything from design to final inspection. They handled everything without issue even when the city throws curveballs with requirements. Victor was great with the design phase as he provided several options and we were able to take elements of them and come up with what we wanted. Robert and his team of construction workers did an excellent job of creating the new space. We even added on some extras “while we have this apart” to save costs over making changes later. Even though our project was considered “small” they treated us like were as important as a big spending customer.
I highly recommend them for any house projects

We worked with Bob Lew on limited interior remodeling of our 100 year old home including custom details and a bath redo with replacement of all finishes/fixtures/fittings. As an architect, I can be a little demanding - particularly on my own home. And we’ve lived through a couple additions previously. Bob, the office staff, and the various tradespeople worked hard to understand the design and the process we wanted including plenty of interaction between design and the trades. Many of them were excellent craftspeople who cared a great deal about their work without being overbearing or presumptuous. Like any remodel there were a few glitches, but Bob jumped in immediately to see they were addressed. Very happy with both the process and outcome!

The foyer and front steps our condo had water damage due to a blocked pipe. We had beautiful wood floors and didn’t want to replace the whole room, so Robert came up with a way to create a new walk-in space that has defined the foyer area. He was very precise on how it would look and how long the whole project would last. And it looks great!! More than one guest has told us how much they like the new look. I even asked Robert to help me choose the tile since I had no idea what was a current look that would match our unit and stay true to the style of our 100 year old condo. We are very happy with the results and the quiet professional way that the entire team got the job done. Would definitely recommend Jeremy Lew and Associates.

We hired Jeremy Lew to remodel our 1939 home in Wilmette 10 years ago.. We worked with an Architect for the plans. The Lew's were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.
We heard the the horror stories from our friends about working with contractors and did approach this project with some trepidation. Fortunately these stories were not our story. Our Project Manager was a great communicator and kept us in the loop every step of the way. As the crew found some surprises (expected with old home) we were told and given options about how to proceed. We can not be happier about how our addition looked upon completion. We receive many complements on the look of our home from friends. They made this old house comfortable for the needs of today's families.
We Contacted Lew Assoc., about a water problem in basement a few months ag. They suggested some simple re grading-problem solved. They also suggested a couple other subs to ready our home for sale. Robert was responsive with these little issues and another job well done!

We did a complete first floor renovation of our 1929 English Tudor, and we are thrilled that we used Jeremy Lew & Associates to do the work. They were fantastic from start to finish--they were trustworthy and so easy to work with, they respected our budget, and the project was completed within the timeframe that was given to us.
Because our house is so old, there were a lot of structural and design challenges. We had to completely update the plumbing, electrical and HVAC--in some areas, radiators were removed and replaced with heated floors, but the old and new systems have worked together seamlessly. Victor created a beautiful, open floor plan while maintaining the integrity and charm of our old home. Robert and our project manager, Phil, were great communicators and we received weekly updates of what work was to be done so there were never surprises. Our project was completed in late 2017 and they continue to be available to us if we need anything or have any questions.
I can't say enough about Robert and Victor and their staff--they are fantastic!

Working with Jeremy Lew & Associates was a dream. Robert Lew was extremely detail oriented and took care of every facet of our project. We were the 2nd mikvah project JLA has worked on, and I have to imagine they are expert mikvah builders at this point. Robert worked with our rabbi to ensure all Jewish law requirements were met and worked with us to ensure our project was done on time and on budget. I would recommend JLA to anyone looking for a design and build firm for a similar project.

We began this journey in 2011 and contracted Jeremy Lew & Associates for architectural work for our home extension. They were consummate professionals throughout the process and provided the drawings to bid out. Fortunately, they are also builders so were in the running to get the job. Their prices weren't the cheapest but also not the most expensive and they will tell you that up front. However, the "you get what you pay for" idiom holds so true for construction. We decided to hold off on the work for a few years and re-visted the idea in 2015. We had few changes that we wanted to incorporate and Victor Lew and Jeremy Lew were very receptive to the changes. We bid the project out once again and decided it made most sense to move forward with Robert Lew w/ Jeremy Lew & Associates for the construction work as well. It made sense since they are family owned business and having a one-stop shop made it easy. The project manager we were assigned is a veteran with the company and also happens to be named Robert. He knew what he was doing and worked extremely well with all their trades and us. I can't say that we had 100% smooth sailings however, we did work through issues and kept the project moving. The project took slightly longer than expected but we did make some changes to enhance the design. All the trades were top notch and they continue to service any minor issues that come up. Overall, I would highly recommend Jeremy Lew & Associates to my friends and family.

Our house has some challenges from a design standpoint and Victor was fantastic with coming up with innovative and practical designs. Then Robert took over with the construction plans. It was all very turnkey and they made the process enjoyable. We stayed on time and on budget. We could not be happier with the results and the continued follow up from the company.

We could not be happier with the amazing job Jeremy Lew and Assoc. did building our dream home. Victor, Robert and the entire team were with us from the beginning process of plans, to the tear down, through the build, until the final light bulb was installed. They were knowledgeable on getting licenses and dealing with city ordinances, and kept our house on schedule. Very happy with Jeremy Lew & Assoc!! We recently purchased an 93 year old Cape Cod in Evanston, IL, a few days after we moved in we discovered a major water problem in the basement. The team at Jeremy Lew & Assoc immediately identified the problems and we hired them to install an overhead sewer, interior drain tile, and completely gut the basement. At the same time we decided to hired them to remodel most of the 1st and 2nd floors of our house and insulate the attic. Robert Lew and his project manager spent a great deal of time meeting with us to listen to what we wanted and offer great advice and design options. We found them to be very reachable and pleasant to work with. Project was finished on time and on budget. Although we spent more than we initially expected, the scope increases were requested by us and we are happy we did them. We wish Jeremy Lew & Assoc many years of continued success.

Would not refer Jeremy Lew and Associates to do any project based on contracted paid and unfulfilled work. We are still waiting for completion of basic punchlist and items as deemed required by building inspector for safety. Pella screen door(s) were delivered and remain uninstalled, molding door(s) left uninstalled, exterior door hardware delivered and left uninstalled, hardware broken by contractor acknowledged and no compensation or replacement ordered, multiple exposed wires, underside of entire exterior molding left unpainted-exposed to elements, interior electrical outlets not up to code, final inspections for permits were not scheduled by Jeremy Lew and Associates Inc...Several months of building materials have been left on premises and destroyed our lawn - ongoing initial promises by general contractor to finish work and no communication in recent week(s) from them. Treacherous missing Step on second floor exterior deck is still not built even though the building materials were delivered to our driveway. General Contractor has said Crew would come on specific dates out to finish above listing Items- and they are all no shows and no explanation or rescheduling by contractor. We've paid for materials which have been delivered delivered to our home--upon paying in full the contractor and material fees neither this general contractor nor crews hired by Jeremy Lew and Associates have returned to finish job, nor are they responding. We were repeatedly given specific dates by this company that they are coming to finish work and they have not returned. Unhappy customer. Very disappointed as Jeremy Lew and Associates general contractor was referred to us by Apex Roofing and Construction whom we found to be professional in completing our roof- beggining to end. Completely baffled by excuses by Jeremy Lew and Associates Inc. Vacations etc to why the project we have paid for has started but was left unfinished There is substantial punch list this company that they agreed to complete; we are left with safety issues by work left uncompleted.

Pam, we would like to thank you for hiring us for the design and build of your terrace and porch addition to your home. Like most old homes this project had its fair share of challenges including, among other things, ensuring the design of the terrace and details of the construction perfectly blended with the original architecture of your 100+ year old colonial brick home. Another challenge we encountered during framing was the discovery of severe wood degradation of the structural walls of the porch and mold growth along the existing window jambs. With our expertise, we were able to quickly consult with our structural engineers, create a remediation plan, and implement the changes with the building department all within a few days time. Even though you are unsatisfied with our handling of the Punch List phase of the project, we are very happy that you are satisfied with the design and quality of construction we have provided.
We are deeply concerned with your interpretation of our handling of the few remaining punch list items that you have commented on. One of the most challenging aspects of our job is to properly inform our clients on the process of designing and building an addition as well as managing expectations and clearly explaining the ‘Closeout’ process of every project. After reading your comments we realize more time should have been spent explaining the time frame needed for completion of the punch list items and will keep this in mind for future projects.
We would like to address the specific comments you have made, some of which are gross misrepresentation of facts. We’ve spent the past few days investigating and gathering facts of each and every one of your claims and have found that many of the items you list here are untruthful. The most serious accusation you make, “final inspections for permits were not scheduled by Jeremy Lew and Associates Inc”, is completely false and untrue. Not only did we schedule the final inspection, our project manager walked through the house with the building inspectors and passed all but one of the final inspections. We have physical copies of inspection reports from Friday July 21st, which we can forward to you. You can also contact the Winnetka building department for further confirmation.

I highly recommend this builder! He did a sun room addition for us and delivered the project on time and with attention to detail. The sun room became our favorite room in the house. It was a pleasure to work with him.

It has been a number of years since our addition was completed, yet a week does not go by when I don't think of the fantastic results we live in now and through our entire project with Jeremy Lew and the entire crew.
We all have heard the horror stories of home additions...things go wrong which jacks up the cost out of budget...contractors don't show up for days at a time....the completion date is a mystery.... Let me say that NONE of these were ever an issue. From deciding on which plan to go forward with, to breaking ground, to completion, we always knew what was going on today, and what would be happening next week. We had to know. We were living in our house throughout the entire process.
The people working on our home were super-knowledgeable, high-level crafts & tradesmen. I watched them in awe and kept a daily record of the results. I was so appreciative, I kept a daily supply of coffee, snacks and drinks available for them just as an extra "thank you'. I say daily because there was rarely a weekday when someone wasn't hard at work here. Neighbors and friends would stop by to watch and marvel at the results. In fact, the folks across the street hired JL&A to do their addition after seeing our results!
I could go on and on about how Robert kept in constant contact or how the workmen would take that minute to explain to my kids and their neighborhood friends what they were doing, or even how I needed a few other things done on our home years later and called JL&A for great referrals. They not only built our home, they built a relationship.
I am happily writing this in my favorite spot at our kitchen counter, and still enjoying every inch of our home!
I guess everyone can tell that my strong suggestion would be to go with Jeremy Lew & Associates for any project. You will be happy you did!

We selected Jeremy Lew & Associates to do a major remodel of our home. Their entire team, led by Robert Lew, was solid from start to finish. Robert was on site every work day, accessible 24/7 and always willing to take time to explore various options to find the best fit. Best of all, they stuck to the schedule and finished on time. They did a great job rebuilding my home nearly 10 years ago, and they are still available if i have any questions or concerns. Robert Lew did a great job for us. Basically he rebuilt our whole house. He and his project manager were always available and prompt at answering our questions and resolving the many decisions that inevitably come up. They smoothly dealt with any changes we made and were always upfront about the costs we would incur to avoid any surprises.
We actually moved out for 6 months while they worked. A third car garage was added, an open floor plan was made out out 3 smaller rooms. A beautiful kitchen with jumbo island was added that was designed to hold all my wife's relatives (60 to 70) all at once since that's where they always end up. A 2 zone heating/cooling system was added, about 90% of the windows were replaced, a large front porch, new flooring throughout, all new electrical and plumbing, and on and on.
Every day here we have been pleased with the job J. Lew and Associates did!!

From start to finish, Robert Lew and the staff at JL were always thoughtful, honest, creative and willing to go the extra mile during our home renovations. Our family (at the time 5 people, now 6) still appreciates suggestions Robert and Victor made that we implemented (a 3rd story play space, an extra bathroom). We were always kept in the loop about progress and every crew was respectful of our family living in the house in the midst of construction. They also tolerated 3 very curious boys (and 1 curious father) who always had a question for them.The entire project ran smoothly and on time. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering renovations on their home.

JL renovated our small 3 bedroom split level home. We moved out for 7 months. They did an excellent job. Robert and his team were easy to work with. Professional, honest and quality work. If a problem arose, Robert (and our project manager) addressed it immediately and offered solutions. They worked well with our architect, Robert was respectful of our budget and did not try to talk us into anything he did not think we needed, We were so pleased with the work that five years later when we added a fireplace and built ins to our family room JL did the work - again an excellent job on a much smaller scale. Would highly recommend Jeremy Lew and Associates.

We selected JL to help with a project that turned out to be a total rehabilitation of a 30 year-old downsized home that we recently purchased vs. a “sprucing-up”. Prior to our final contractor selection, we did our due diligence and contacted previous Jeremy Lew clients. We were impressed with the many positive responses we received. From the very beginning of the project with conceptual ideas to actual architectural drawings and construction permits, we felt totally supported by the JL team. During this initial phase of the project we spent fair amount of time with Victor and Robert coming up with a realistic project plan that took into consideration our budget and design wants/needs. During the many discussions, the JL team provided us with much needed advise regarding design and material options. This was a fairly time consuming process as we worked through the various options, but resulted in a very usable finished product us.
Once the actual remodeling project was underway (demolition, reconstruction, etc.) the entire team was professional and we felt very comfortable with them in our house. As with any project, there were times when we needed to modify/amend what was planned. This was done so timely and with a great deal of information along with options provided by the LJ team. Here again, their guidance was appreciated and welcomed by us.
Overall, we were very pleased with our decision to use Jeremy Lew and with the final project outcome. In conjunction with their team, we were able maximize our available space and were able to implement workable and interesting design options. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail is evident in the finished product. They were easy to work with and very responsive to issues and changes that arose during the project as well as to our many questions. Bottom-line, we would have no hesitation using Jeremy Lew again should the circumstances arise.

Not only did Victor and Robert understand our idea to purchase an old home and enhance it - they gave us architectural and cost options. We bought the house and had a great adventure working with both of them along with their program managers, construction crews and vendors. From getting permits to braining storming options on engineering issues we always felt we got great advice and the expertise needed. They understood what we wanted this house to be. They designed it to exceed our expectations yet within our budget and the house was ready when we needed it to be ready. The neighbors near and far admire the architectural integrity of the new house. Our guests are impressed at the proportions and flow not to mention the classic details from 1930 that were maintained and restored. We have an elegant home in large part because the Lews did an excellent job.

There isn't a day that goes by that we do not think about how happy and thrilled we are with our addition built by Jeremy Lew!! That made our DREAM HOUSE come true!!! We fully expected to be stressed living through an addition (family room plus kitchen expansion) that would leave us without a kitchen for an extended period of time. Jeremy Lew had a very professional team that made this process much easier. All contracted work crews were also respectful of our home and our neighborhood. We did end up about 20 percent above projected cost which is pretty normal from what we researched. We felt there were delays in getting our project started once we signed the contract, but once it did start, the project was completed within the expected period of time. We are so happy with the results and would recommend them to others.

I am pleased to recommend Jeremy Lew and Associates and share my overwhelmingly positive experience.
I’m not always the easiest person to please. I know this because throughout my life I’ve been called overly-critical or “picky.” When I go to a restaurant, I expect my food to be right the first time and for the service to be outstanding…at a minimum. I should be able to focus on the fun experience I am having with my guests, not being distracted by a waiter that disappeared when we need more bread or a chef that under-cooked my steak. Everything needs to be working in concert. That concerted effort is exactly the experience I had with Jeremy Lew and Associates.
Working with JL&A was a pleasure. From the back office staff, to the project manager, to the tradespeople working inside of my home, everyone clearly had the same goal. That goal wasn’t just creating a beautiful final product; it included HOW that final product was achieved. From the initial meeting and all the way through the final punch list review, I could feel how important I was to them. Their team took the time to listen to me and they followed through properly on every detail. My project included installation of new floors, walls, painting, fixtures, a new staircase and a long list of other small items. Everything was completed on-budget and they actually finished the project earlier than projected.
From start to finish, they were professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future. Kudos to Jeremy Lew and Associates for a job well-done!

Jeremy Lew & Assoc. built a project that we designed for a client in Glenview, IL. It was a rehab project that entailed integrating several key features into the existing home. JLA handled the project perfectly, both technically and aesthetically and kept us informed of all relevant construction events. The whole experience was a real pleasure. Jeremy Lew & Assoc., Inc. came up with a great design for our second-story addition and then executed the building plan in a timely, cost-effective manner. Never had to worry about "lost days" - there was always a full crew of workers on the project. And they do great quality work - very few punch-list items.

We originally used Jeremy Lew and associates for a rehab and addition for our two-story home in 2012. We were so thrilled with their work that we recently hired them to finish our basement. The quality of their work, design, and work ethic are outstanding. Victor was our architect for both projects and did an amazing job incorporating what we wanted into the space we have and making sure the house is easy to navigate for an older parent. They also have one of the hardest working crews we have seen. Robert and his crew were also extremely accommodating and understanding of a few changes we made during our recent basement project. We could not have been happier with the outcome of both of our projects and would highly recommend them to anyone considering any type of home construction or improvement project.

We hired Jeremy Lew & Associates in 2006 after meeting with 3 other contractors. We were very impressed with other work they had done, and felt their style matched our specifications. Jeremy Lew & Associates helped convert our 3 bedroom colonial (with a detached garage), to a 5 bedroom colonial with an attached garage. Robert, Victor, and Wojtek were very accommodating, and completed the work in a timely fashion (which we all know is key to a successful project!).
An attestation to their work, is the fact that my in laws hired them shortly after our work was complete!

Jeremy Lew and Associates did a major remodel of our 1938 home that included a new kitchen, laundry room, garage and study. We were extremely happy with them, their whole team and the final product. Every problem was handled promptly and professionally. Two years ago, we chose to work with them again to remodel our master bath. Once again, we were impressed with their workmanship and are very happy with our home.

My wife and I hired Jeremy Lew & Assoc in 2005 to do a major renovation on our home. We were living in a three bedroom ranch and we wanted to put up a second level. Often times, these types of renovations are harder on the builder than building a home from the ground up because they often don't know the condition of the home until they get under the hood, or in this case, the walls and floors. Robert and Walter were great to work with. We had to deal with a few things out of our control such as bad weather, a few surprises, and village delays but we were back in our home within nine months which was pretty much on schedule. Robert is a nice, straightforward, and calm person to work with in what could be a very emotional project. It's been 7 1/2 years since we've been back in the house and we couldn't be happier.

Initially, Jeremy Lew & Associates did an extensive remodel that included expanding the footprint of our home and building out three floors - including bathrooms and the kitchen. We chose them over a number of other reputable firms because of their creative design ideas and honest approach to quoting the job.
That was almost 10 years ago . . .
Since then, due to the extremely positive experience we had, we have used them to do every home improvement task we can think of.
What was so positive? (1) Excellent product; (2) Smooth and efficient project management; (3) appropriate price.

Jeremy Lew & Assoc. designed and built my dream home. Throughout all the stages of this very large project I was treated as a very important person whose needs should be met in the best possible way. I felt that I could fully trust Robert Lew and Robert Holubek to solve any unexpected problems and obstacles which are common in the building process.

After interviewing several other contracting firms we hired the Lew family for our construction/renovation project.
We had used another architect but, found Jeremy and Victor's incites very helpful. They paid careful attention to lighting and sight lines that another "higher priced" architect had not seen. We appreciate these changes until today.
Robert was a consummate professional. He took the time to get a feel for our interests in terms of style, materials and budget. From start to finish work was on time and on budget. He walked us through the village "appearance committee" without a hitch.
There were many "change orders" along the way but, each was discussed carefully. He anticipated our future needs such as teenage daughters and water pressure.
There were regular calls and updates.
Even since then he has been available with our questions and concerns.
I would recommend him strongly.

This was a project of love which took over a year to design and 9 months to build. Throughout the whole process Robert lew (and our awesome site manager Wojtek ) were there to walk us threw all the tremendously complicated steps of renovating an entire house and large addition with MUCH patience and good humor. It's not to say that things didn't go wrong. But when it did, we worked it out together respectfully. I would hire them again in a second! Great work. It was an honor to deal with you. We love our house

We began our collaboration with Jeremy Lew & Asoc. from initial design concept, to drawings and ultimately construction. This firm is the very essence of the Design/Build value. From our beginnings with the creativity of architect Victor Lew, to the fair and measured bidding process with contractor Robert Lew and finally the efficient, detailed project management of Robert Holubek we were well cared for at every level of our home renovation. In fact, since our completion in 2011 the few issues we've had were met with prompt response. We have recommended the firm in the past and will continue to do so in the future, our confidence in them has never been misplaced.

Jeremy Lew and Associates remodeled my home in Park Ridge. They did an outstanding job on all fronts. Robert Lew was the construction manager and was completely sensitive to my needs and wishes given it was a very large project. Victor Lew designed the most beautiful structure imaginable. The crews were amazing. They were talented, reliable and extremely respectful of my family and the property. Although this may sound like a review from a family member of the Lews, I can assure you that as a healthcare professional in the Park Ridge area I am not a family member but Jeremy Lew and his associates do make you feel like family when they begin your home construction. I recommend Jeremy Lew and Associates without reservation!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about working with Robert Lew, as our builder, and his brother Victor, as our architect. We added a master suite to our home and, in the process, reconfigured the entire second floor. I loved that at our first meeting, they looked at our downstairs and said "don't tell us that you intend to touch this part of the house--it's gorgeous." That gave me the confidence right from the start that they were not looking to spend more of our money than we were. The process was a pleasure start to finish. They were creative with ideas, responsive to our calls, reliable in terms of showing up (and their subcontrators were too), clean and respectful. It has been several years since our project was completed and if we call with any questions or needs they are immediately there for us. I cannot imagine a better contractor.

We used the Lew's for two projects. The first was a 1600sq ft addition to a 1929 Tudor. The project completely updated the plumbing, electrical, HVAC and windows as well as a reconfigured the floor plan. The second was a 500sq ft remodel of our basement which included the installation of a bathroom and kitchenette.
The Lew team was very knowledgeable on the various construction techniques and the issues inherent in a remodel. Victor developed creative, practical solutions. Robert successfully coordinated the execution. We found them to be trustworthy and highly accountable for cost-effective and quality solutions. There were inevitable mistakes along the way but they successfully resolved all problems in a collaborative manner.
