Whew! Just when I thought I could not face another decision, I consulted Jennifer. I was near the end of a 10 month reno project and tired of research, decisions, choices. I was losing energy and confidence. I consulted Jennifer for decor help: rugs, window treatments and other opinions. She sized up the project and our tastes, narrowed down options in our budget, and presented them with her expertise and guidance. She showed up on time and was patient and, well, it kind of felt like being taken care of a bit and by the end of 6 months of planning and 10 months of construction, one needs to be taken care of a little bit! Do yourself a favor, consult a professional if it's going to be a long or big project. I've found it pays in many ways.Below, I put the cost of the portion of the project that Jennifer helped us with, finishing touches, some furniture,shades, curtains, not the cost of the entire reno. .

Jennifer helped me design my kitchen. I love her modern inclinations and I can trust her color sense. She was very pleasant to work with and showed me products I may not have found by myself. Everyone loves my kitchen! I would hire her again in an instant.

Jennifer worked with my wife and i in helping to resuscitate the exterior color of our aggressively drab (think jaundice yellow) home. she patiently explained some fundamentals of color theory, enthusiastically let us air our (our not always congruent) ideas, and diligently ordered and re-ordered color swatches from BM. She was especially useful in helping us think through how the different paint colors would look at various times of day depending on their orientation. responsive, knowledgeable without being superior, a developed sense of style, and yes, fun. Jennifer Ott, for color (and such).

We worked with Jennifer Ott Design for our condo remodel in San Francisco, specifically the design and material selection of our kitchen, two bathrooms and paint. If you have ever gone through a remodel before you know the most overwhelming part is deciding on what you want the place to look like and then sorting through thousands of options for tile, fixtures, lighting, paint.... the list goes on. We found Jennifer Ott through Houzz and went to work from there, We didn't know exactly what we wanted but gave her a general idea of the things we liked, things we didn't, shared a few photos and she went to work helping us put together a cohesive design, sourcing the materials and presenting options for us to review. From start to finish it was a very professional and well communicated process. Jennifer worked within the budget we had, listened to our feedback and ultimately helped us interpret our scattered ideas into a look and feel we really love. Jennifer was an incredible asset to this process, we could not have done it without her and would work with her again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Jen provided us with a wonderful afternoon's color consultancy at the end of which we had a complete palette confirmed for our house interior. Jen has a great "bedside manner" if you are as clueless about colour as we were! All in all a very rewarding and fun experience.

The painters finished this week and the colors are perfect! Jennifer Ott Design helped us pick paint colors for a new rental property we just purchased. My husband and I were paralyzed in the abyss of paint color choices and had stared at swatches for far too long. The best decision we made was to call Jen. She cut through all the noise with on-the-mark suggestions that helped us narrow the field. She knew the color fan decks like the back of her hand and was able to bring forth ideas that we hadn't come across in our countless trips to numerous paint stores. We will be calling Jennifer Ott Design again this spring for design and interior/exterior color advice as we remodel our own home.

Jen Ott is an amazing designer. She is organized, professional, and unbelievably talented. She has a keen eye for color. Jen understood what I was looking for in style, cost, and the overall feel I wanted for my home. She is very patient, was very interested in my opinions and requests, and very responsive. Emails never went unanswered and were often returned within a few hours. I am so happy with my home and the work we did together.

I had never had a color consultation before and was looking at a new, empty apartment, totally overwhelmed. Jennifer Ott was the perfect designer to bring me through the process - it was a pleasure to work with her. From Day 1, she was professional in every way. She arrived promptly for every meeting, listened carefully, patiently, and thoroughly to my initial thoughts and interests, asked questions that really illuminated and sometimes shifted my thinking, and was always thoughtful and responsive as I changed my mind several times throughout our meetings. She came several times for follow-up when I felt unsure, and I am so pleased with the results! Even when words failed me to describe a color in my mind, she figured it out. I was impressed with her ability to help me step out of my comfort zone (I can be very stubborn) and I am so happy I did! She did an excellent job balancing my initial thoughts with a gentle nudging towards colors/palettes/accent ideas that I would never have initially considered. Prompt, responsible, responsive, easy to work with, experienced - her projections for the scope of the project were clear and spot on. I'll recommend her to everyone!

We worked with Jennifer briefly when she was in Austin. She provided excellent input on materials and color scheme, that we ended up using and are very happy with.

Jennifer provided outstanding assistance on color, recognizing both the aesthetic and practical aspects of the selection (amount of lighting, how much regular use a room gets, ways to manage existing color elements such as crown molding). The easy option would have been for her to push me to paint the trim white, for example, but I am not ready to paint 123-year-old dentil molding even though it has a slightly reddish tint that made wall color selection challenging. She respected that constraint. And: what range! She has done beautiful work with contemporary houses, but she was a pro with my doddering victorian.

I hired Jennifer to help me in the renovation of my kitchen and bathroom - I bought a house in San Francisco that had not been renovated since the 1940's, and the bathroom and kitchen both needed a complete overhaul. I have a design background, but was overwhelmed with choices of materials, colors, and selection. Jennifer was excellent in helping me focus on a clear vision for both rooms, being very respectful of my taste and providing amazing advice throughout the process. She knew where to prioritize on value vs spending a few extra bucks, and all her design recommendations were consistently superb. After she set the design vision, she was available throughout the build process when I had questions, answering promptly and with many suggestions for a spectrum of materials, helping me understand different price points and the trade-offs. I am very happy with the end results of both the kitchen and bathroom, and would highly recommend Jennifer's services!
