When I moved to my residence at Mary's Woods, a retirement community., I came from Florida. I had sold all my belongings and was ready to start over. I knew nothing about this area, where to go for furniture, or how to find specialty fabrics. Julia spent several days with me exploring different stores, and fabric shops, helping me find the styles and price points with which I was comfortable. She helped me put together a very comfortable and attractive space. Four years later, I moved to an apartment with a different layout. Julia was invaluable in helping me totally change the kitchen cabinetry to accommodate new appliances, add a new cabinet in the bathroom, and create new lighting. I thank her constantly for providing such an efficient, usable, even though small, kitchen. It was a delight working with Julia.. I would not hesitate to reach to her if I need additional design help.

I worked with Julia for both my business and my home kitchen remodel. She was always punctual, respectful, organized, always professionally prepared for our meetings and full of knowledge on all issues we ran into. She not only redesigned my work space (interior and exterior), recommended new furniture that matched my vision and style, but also recommended and looked over painters, carpet crew and lamination experts during my business remodel. At my home, she proposed major architectual redesigns and researched all availabilities and exactly what would be practical and needed in my new home kitchen. You won’t regret working with Julia-she is super knowledgeable, hard working and fun to work with!

What a pleasure it has been to work with Julia on our home remodeling project! I can't recommend her highly enough. There are the basic skills that we expect a designer to have, and then there are the skills that go above and beyond; skills that Julia has: constant attention to detail and follow up with subcontractors, the ability to "see" where your valuable art might look its best and the ability to place that art, even if it means standing on a 12' ladder!, an in-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, and lighting (very important in Oregon...), and through it all, an indefatigable good will and gentle spirit that is of great help when your own energy flags. Julia helped make our house a home and I can't think of a better recommendation that that.

Julia is awesome! She helped us redesign my son’s bedroom and a bathroom. After hearing our wishes and needs Julia provided super detailed plans and options for the new design. She managed the process for us by ordering materials and hiring contractors so we only had to let the contractors in the house. I especially appreciate how she helped my husband and I think outside the box and consider even better design options. We will definitely hire Julia again for future projects.

Julia really LISTENED to what we wanted, and then came up with more than one option for us to consider. She then again listened to our comments for revisions, and gave us a design about which we are really excited. She told us when we could expect to hear from her on each phase of our design, and then kept to that schedule. It was a pleasure to work with her.

We hired Julia Williams to assist us with designing the space in our new home - an apartment half the size of the house we’d lived in for more than 20 years. She is an amazing resource - very familiar with the units in the apartment complex and management guidelines for remodeling, and very knowledgeable about local resources for furniture and building materials. She proposed layouts and furniture selections, and encouraged us to do our own comparison shopping. Because she is guiding you toward the best options and away from mistakes, you do feel like you have some design talent of your own. She adapted to our style right away - in fact, she always made us think we were picking her favorite option. And when you’ve hit the wall and can’t make any more choices, she will look at all the tile and all the medicine cabinets and propose the best options. We’ve recently moved into the apartment, and it’s clear she was spot on with furniture placement and colors. We recommend her highly!

We employed the services of Julia Williams at the urging of a friend, familiar with her work to complete extensive remodeling of our Villa at a senior living facility. We were not disappointed. Julia, a professional to the T, has an easy disposition who kept her cool in many tricky situations that arose during the three months of the project. Besides the complicated process of drawing up excellent design plans Julia’s tasks included interacting with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and facility personnel not to mention her demanding clients. She accomplished all this with competence, professionalism, and grace. Besides endless energy Julia has the rare talent for listening closely and actualizing what her clients have in mind while gently guiding them in the right direction should they go off course. She has excellent taste and a keen ability to visualize and utilize space effectively which this project demanded. Her guidance throughout the project was invaluable.

.Julia Williams was a tremendous help during our recent move. We were downsizing from our home of 43 years to a two-bedroom apartment. First and foremost was Julia’s sense of color and design. A close second was her expertise with computer-aided analysis to determine how our existing furniture would work in the new living space, and what needed to be “retired.” The result was a virtually flawless move. But we weren’t done yet! She suggested where to hang pictures and other artwork, final furniture adjustment, and other advice. By this point we decided to go another step and have her actually hang the pictures. Personality-wise, Julia is a gem. She’s never pushy, but rather, has a direct and positive approach that always made us comfortable. Price-wise, she’s been very fair and reasonable. Definitely a five-star in every way!

When we started the project, we were moving from a big house to 1200 sq ft retirement apartment and were unsure how much we needed a decorator. Julia skillfully guided us through the project. She allowed us to do what we wanted to do for ourselves and stepped in when we needed her. We relied almost completely on her to chose detail finishes and work with the installers to monitor the process and ensure the end product was what we wanted. In fact the finished product exceeded our early expectations. I recommend Julia without reservations .

I was moving from AZ to Oregon into a new retirement community. Based on recommendations, I hired Julia Williams to develop a space plan and recommendations for furnishings. She had worked with other clients who live in the community and was an excellent liaison with the marketing departments. She was very knowledgeable about resources, had appointments scheduled when I visited and provided quality work with vendors and arranging my home. She is pleasant, professional, flexible and works with me re budgets.. I highly recommend Julia Williams.
