Tami is the best designer! She worked with us as we downsized to a condo. Tami truly listened to us without judgement. We wanted to be sure to incorporate some favorite artwork and furniture into the new design and she did this with skill and enthusiasm. My daughter gifted me a home consultation with Tami as a birthday present knowing I had wanted some help in updating the look of my 25 year old home. Tami helped me with placement of artwork, furniture, and floor rugs and recommended and sent me various options for consideration. Well, I liked working with Tami so much that I hired her to help me completely renovate my home office (new paint, new carpet, removal of a built in bookshelf, and installation of custom built desk, credenza, shelving, and cabinetry). In the process of all this I kept thinking about how easy it was to work with Tami, and how great her eye for design is, so I asked her to suggest new carpeting for a stair runner for my oak stairs in my foyer. She brought me a carpet sample that I would never have picked out on my own (I am artistically/creatively "challenged") and that is EXACTLY why I needed her for this. I LOVE the color and pattern of the stair runner she suggested. It has dramatically and beautifully updated the look of my foyer. Tami is creative, kind, fun to work with, and a true professional. We recently moved into a new home and were in need of a full house redesign (window treatments, furniture, artwork). Wow! I have lived in my house for nearly 20 years and it was time to do some updating. After researching designers in my area I hired Tami to help select paint colors for a few rooms in my house and to select some furnishings and a rug for my family room. Tami responded to my request immediately. We spoke on the phone and she explained her process and pricing and was very transparent. We set a date to meet. Tami was prompt and arrived with large paint samples that we could move around the rooms to view in various locations and light. Tami listened to my preferences, ascertained my style and helped me narrow down my choices. She left me with the big samples to play with and had smaller samples shipped from the paint company for me to keep. After I selected my preferred colors Tami followed up with a paint specification document for me to share with my painter so that the color selections, finish and trim were clear and the paint job could be priced accurately. Tami also pre-shopped some furniture ideas at a local store so that my husband could meet with us at the store during his lunch hour and see the furniture in person. She also provided fabric options for us that would work in our room and helped us with that choice. Tami made our decision easy and fun. I hired Tami to help me finish my nursery. The baby is due soon and I needed help! The scope of the project started as just a paint consultation. I had too many colors to narrow down and needed help figuring out which would be best. Tami helped me see the nuances in the different colors and have confidence in the final choice. Because Tami is such a joy to work with and so easy to talk to, I expanded the scope of the project to include baby furniture. Tami Smight is a visionary. We hired Tami to redesign the first floor of our home. The house came with carmel paint on the walls, and we kept buying brown pieces to match it. We wanted brighter, happier paint colors and new furnishings. Tami led us through a process of clarifying what we wanted and choosing a color palette. When Tami presented our design “road map,” I was floored at how she had taken our ideas and turned it into a plan that flowed from our front door to our living room.
