I got a handful of figs from this variety on a potted plant last year that I had to spit out. But like you say, maybe it will improve with time. The interior was a very interesting clear lemon yellow.

I agree Gene, I am hopeful. The tree foliage is very interesting so for me, if it doenst five figs it still is not like any other fig tree.

This is what my Wuhan looks like. I believe this was the
very first fruit I got. The rest were pretty much consistent
in shape, color and taste (some did shallow eye-split though).
I would not dare rate this fig as a very top notch (taste),
but to me it was always way above average and a keeper.
It produced fruit while still in ~2 gallon pot.
This year it did not produce (after some butchering and potting up).
The pulp is almost jelly like (minimum seeds).
The leaves have a very unique shape (plus highly serrated edges).
Growth seems to be more horizontal (plus some weeping).
