Did you look at flooring options?

@sooz001, not yet, but I figured that would come up. At the moment I think I would be too overwhelmed by all the options. Is there any kind that you were specifically thinking of?

I should also mention that I would prefer wood over fake wood look-alikes, if possible, and it would need to be paintable (color would either be white or green, most likely).

Try vinyl alternatives too.

What kind of vinyl alternatives are you referring to?

I have seen vinyl lapboard at my local hardware store for accent purposes that is paintable. Lightweight easy install.

It may be considered fiberglass or plastic. It is a low end option for bathroom walls.

Use an off-white shiny porcelain subway tile laid in a horizontal running bond pattern, you said you have a low ceiling, lay them vertically side by side end to end, & us a very lt grey grout. It is classic, timeless and one of the least expensive tiles unless you fancy it up.

Went to the Store With the Big Orange Sign yesterday and found this. Bought a package to take home and mock up to see how it looks, but I think this is it!

It's not as wide as I would like it, but it's got the ease of installation, not too thick (deep), and is real wood.

How did it turn out ?
