Majestic palm has spider mites like residue

Hi,

My majestic plant which I grow indoors in Chicago weather seems to be having spider mites kind of residue. I tried to treat it with a home insecticide solution ( castile soap + baking soda + few drops dishwashing liquid) and also gave it a good shower. I however, haven't changed its location. Please help.. is it spider mites or something else. How should I treat it. I love my palm.

You're welcome. For scale. That's not considered severe yet. Took me about 45 days of weekly treatment to get rid of scale and cutting of more affected fronds. Only cut if you have a healthy tree with many fronds however! Keep away from other plants. You can spray soapy water daily for a couple weeks and see if that helps!
