My Miele stacked washer/dryer are in a 24" cab and vented. They are European style - just an option if you want a vented dryer in smaller space. The unvented never drys completely, I thought.

Unvented take forever to dry and the stuff is always wrinkled

Consider backing up a vented dryer against the wall and fit it into a straight rigid length of duct that runs through the wall into the garage and then makes its turn to the outside.

Can anyone share their personal experience with any and all mfrs. of compact (24") washers and dryers? Need to stack but don't need to match bc have built stand for dryer. Can't afford Miele and SQ too large for small galley kitchen in condo. Assume unitized units don't work as well as 1990 unit currently in condo due to gov't imposed water level restrictions.

Bc I've heard it's difficult to find parts and someone to repair LG and Samsung and desire vented dryer, appears only have GE and Blomberg to choose from.

Leaning towards washer (most imp.) choice of Bosch or Electrolux, though interested in whatever anyone has to say about any others.

I have used the all in one units in europe they are a pain if you want something in a hurry they take hours for a load GE makes a small vented dryer and a washing machine to match check out AJ Madison

I have the 24 inch Blomberg washer and the heat pump dryer. It washes and dries everything. 24 inch front load laundry handle the same amount of clothes as some of the top load machines as there is no agitator.

@Engineered Laundry Products - how do you like the Blomberg washer and dryer? And how long have you had them? Trying to decide between the Blomberg and the Bosch. Thanks!

I have had the Blomberg about 8 months. I got it for the heat pump dryer and my wife loves it. The washer has all the features we need and the dryer dries almost like a vented dryer except it does not over dry the clothes.
