Project Linus blanket-- lucky #13

It's been awhile since I finished one. This one in a V stitch. Three colors means the color you need is waiting for you at the end of the row so you can just carry them up the sides...the border covers the carrys.

Nice! Do either of you have a link to the pattern? I do a lot of charity knitting/crochet and I’m always looking for new patterns.

There are a number of V-stitch patterns on the internet which yield different results. The one I'm working on now is called a v-stitch, but looks much different as it's done with HDC and with a ch in between.

This is the one using the dc only and creates the chevron effect in my blanket: https://www.dreamalittlebigger.com/post/v-double-crochet-stitch.html

Thank you for posting that link, Annie. It looks like a stitch I'd like to try.

I love the way your color placement makes it really stand out, almost looks 3D in the photo.

I like it. And especially using the border to cover the carries. (My least favorite part is weaving in loose ends.)

Finally finished this blanket, made from scraps:

Put a wider border around the sides to make the green (I ran out) change more “planned looking” 😂 Will be donating it to my charity group, this year’s efforts are being divided between Nepal, Ukraine and Melbourne (Australia)’s homeless. The local charities prefer acrylic for washability but as refugee camps tend to have open fires and limited washing facilities, we only send wool garments for safety.

Lovely work, all! The blankets are beautiful and how they will comfort a child when he needs it most.
