By trim do you mean with Schluter to "end" the tile? I would use schluter that disappears into the tile. So match the tile. The tile, your cocuntertops and your appliances are the important parts of your design. The backsplash trim should disappear!

Does the backsplash have a trim tile option that matches? If so, I would use that.

I love brass and think that would look amazing next to the green. But if you ever wanted to change the metals in the kitchen, the brass trim would be difficult (maybe impossible?) to change without damaging the tile. So I would probably go with the grey.

Our installer was able to miter the edges on our backspash at the edges - no Schluter needed!

The only matching tile option is a pencil tile the juts out too far for my taste

Just a vertical line between the countertop and upper cabinets? Or a long horizontal expanse?

Depending on your tile and the skill of your tiler you could have the pencil trim tile cut individually to protrude less.

IMO too many things going on so change the faucet to brass and do the brass trim .

I'd go dark like the tiles.

As another poster asked - is there a trim that goes with the tile you have selected? If so, would suggest using that instead of trying to match, compliment or contrast with trim.

If a lot of the edging won’t show, don’t torture yourself! I would either use the pencil tile (especially if it can be shaved down). Or something that blends with the tile and/or grout.

K8cd, yeah, that’s where I landed too!! going to find some thing that blends with the tile because I don’t really know the tile guy well enough to know what will happen if I ask him to shave down the pencil tile.

Thanks, everyone. Turns out the pencil trim is thinner than I thought and is actually called pencil/bullnose. It should be a nice finish that will match the tile. Decision made!
