So magnificent! Thanks Ben. Morris Arboretum also has a grove of these trees, grown from the original seeds sent to Arnold Aroretum in 1948. Seeing these trees is the direct cause of me buying one for my yard! Planted in 2016.

Toronado, they are remarkably fast, so in 50 yrs it may be a near giant. But it IS a redwood!

They are incredibly fast growing, but we don't get tornadoes here, Tornado. But being a Sequoia related genus, they probably recover well from damage to the grown, but guessing.

HAHA, I saw St. Louis, and just read, tornado! My bad. That is funny! BTW, we are in peak tornado season in the singular nation, most prone to tornados in the world.

TBH: I had to look twice at Toronado3800's name a couple of times, the first time I saw it. :-)
