Can you please post a picture taken directly in front of the fireplace, but from across the room so we can see the wall. Also, other pictures of the room would be helpful.

Paint surround,brick fire box, floor tile inside the fireplace, black.

Paint the walls the darker color in the tile. By painting the wall the stronger brown in the tile, the darker color now controls the scheme to resemble this room.

On my monitor the tile looks similar to B.M. Alexandria Beige.
