Can you use concrete for a shower floor?

Sure. You can acid stain any concrete that will react with the stain. The trick is selecting the correct sealer. You don't want something that will make the floor slippery or that will be damaged by long term exposure to water. I suggest our DCI Penetrating Lithium Hardener Sealer for showers. It's a penetrating sealer so it will not be slippery when wet and as it is in the concrete pores rather than on the surface, it will not be damaged by prolonged exposure to water. It's also a one time application so no need to reapply in future. Here's the link. Thank you.

I lived in Mexico in a beautiful home. The showers and tubs were concrete. Easy to clean and they were amazing. I will design that in my next home. Currently have a downtown loft with concrete floors (old vegetable warehouse). They are painted and we enjoy them.
