Navin Johnson in the The Jerk was rich/moneyed - he was not wealthy. Good design is good design - it should not require a dimmer/blinders for some people to be in it. The only people I will work with are eccentric and busy - I know what that is.

Yes good design is good design that is true. That means following all the principles of design we learn in school and using them effectively. But people have different taste and that has nothing to do with what makes good design. Lol “whatever.”

I’m not necessarily saying any of these are good or bad designs. I’m saying “modest and subtle” isn’t everyone’s style. Plus some people like busier things...which has a lot to do w different levels of stimulus in different peoples lives (that case study stuff we learned in architecture and design school).
