For us non-art majors: Valspar Ambient Light is to me a robin's egg blue. That is, it is a light blue with a lot of yellow in it...which makes it a cousin of green, but not really green. It's neighbor Sky Blue View, however, is starting to get green (or a light teal). Being so on the line, the best color wheel I could find doesn't list it. I can't seem to link the color wheel, but it shows more variations of each color family that help place the color you are considering...as long as it isn't too close to the line. Personally, I have had trouble categorizing mint green...which turns out to be a lot bluer than I want it to be. But there you are. More than one tool is needed to really be able to design a room scheme and in the final analysis, you must get samples and try them out.

a note on the Farnsworth color test - it would not run on my old computer. I was able to download the app to my phone (a 4yr old model) and run it there. I missed only 1 in the greens on the Color Blind Check. I barely detected several in the yellow-green range, mostly when there was only a slight variation in the colors. It's a timed test, so you have to be fast with your tapping finger. It does give you a larger target then typing a text message, thankfully.

@Rae Daily- @ Kathleen Marineau, Art student or not, trying out a color on the wall is absolutely the best way to test and know how a paint color is going to work in the home and between rooms of varying colors and varying degrees of one color. Those paint swatches are alright, just not good enough.
