This color is Dunn Edwards DEC 789 light gray, flat. BM 2127-50 Pikes Peak gray is comparable.

Carleen, flat paints are not very "scrubbable" which is needed in a kitchen. Satin is the best wall finish for a kitchen because it is washable and semi-gloss is too harsh of a glare for walls (IMO). There is a flat enamel that claims to be washable, and you could also try an exterior flat in a kitchen, if you're needing a flat finish. Flat is needed on walls that have a lot of undesirable imperfections because the washable sheens show every flaw. If your walls are in great shape, I would definitely choose satin for the kitchen walls (with either high gloss or semi-gloss for painted trim).

I would like your opionion on paint finishes as well. I'm painting Kitchen and living areas and plan on using Satin becuase of the washability. We are planning on painting the ceilings the same color of the walls with white crown molding and trim. what do you recommend on the sheen of the ceiling and trims, would flat be best for the ceilings?

I noticed other colors were listed as well, and since I LOVE Ralph Lauren paint colors, I'm going to check the suggestion that it was his Faded Silk. I definitely thought it had some greenish tones, and like that it did. Hopefully I can find a close second...never heard of Dunn Edwards. :-)

I have heard of Dunn Edwards. Usually if you go to Lowes they can look up other brands of paint and can match it. Sometimes they even have color wheels of other brands.
