What Houzz contributors are saying:
How they work. Natural swimming pools rely on a constructed wetland of plants and gravel to filter the water in an area called the regeneration zone. This zone is like a water garden; a variety of plants selected by a natural pool specialist or a landscape architect create an ecosystem that cleans the pool water.
What Houzzers are commenting on:
This is the only natural swimming pool/natural regeneration that is completely beautiful and looks natural. Placement of rocks and boulders, and short beautiful safety-minded deck add greatly to this. Looks like there are also flat rock perches that add to usefulness and beauty.
I am having a vision; I will hand dig my pool add a thick pool liner and a natural echo system of pebbles, rocks plants, and koi fish,a pump and filter box and to add a water fall at the middle facing the fruit orchard. I will plant a source of echo friendly water plants and environmental safe products for fish and plant health. At front a gradual wade in area to just sit and relax and watch nature happen. To add I will have an outdoor private shower to keep off chemicals before entering the pool.
