Tudor Revival Estate, Full Home DesignVictorian Bathroom

This guest bathroom features white subway tile with black marble accents and a leaded glass window. Black trim and crown molding set off a dark, antique William and Mary highboy and a Calcutta gold and black marble basketweave tile floor. Faux gray and light blue walls lend a clean, crisp feel to the room, compounded by a white pedestal tub and polished nickel faucet.

Hi Genre Interiors and thank you! The color is actually a mix of three colors: grey, blue and white. It's a custom finish by our faux finisher, so there's no name for it. If you'd like more information on the color feel free to email us at info@panageries.com

Hi 1900fleet, thank you for your question. It's actually not stained glass but leaded glass. There isn’t a panel in front, but there is tile in the jam and seal. Everything has been insulated and waterproofed.
  • 1900fleet
Thank you for standing corrected. It is leaded glass. With what and what did they waterproof? thanks so much and love your bathroom.

Hi Taylor, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, we don't have any additional photos. The vanity is a white pedestal sink that was original to this c.1924 residence.

This is an excellent question Anastasia. As long as you install a good
exhaust vent and run it when the bathroom is in use, it will be fine. This
bathroom is used daily and has been home to this antique highboy since the very
beginning. For more questions please contact us at info@panageries.com or visit

Hi kshanahan and sorry for the delayed response! This is a large soaking tub with a tub filler and hand held shower. It's not meant to be a stand up shower, but could easily have been designed as one. Several companies make oval shower rod systems that can include a shower head. If you google "shower heads for clawfoot tubs" you will see examples of how it can work. Here's another image of to get your creative juices flowing. Feel free to email us at info@panageries.com if you have any questions!

William and Mary. Named after William and Mary of England (1689–1694), this style was popular from 1690 to 1725. It has Dutch and Chinese influences, and is characterized by trumpet turned legs terminating in a ball or Spanish foot, padded or caned seats, and Oriental lacquer-work.

Keep on top of dust. Lead dust is especially dangerous, because it can be inhaled. If you suspect you have lead in your house, be extra vigilant about keeping surfaces clean and dust free. Mop floors and wipe down windowsills and baseboards with a damp cloth — using a dry duster will only send lead dust flying into the air.

This antique William and Mary chest on stand, also called a tallboy (England) or highboy (America), was originally intended for clothing storage in a bedroom. But of course, like any chest of drawers, it’s a wonderfully versatile piece of furniture that can store bathroom, kitchen, dining room or office items, or simply the flotsam and jetsam of life. Once again, beauty and function join hands to create a very special room.
