Two Time Award Winning KitchenTraditional Kitchen, Chicago

Normandy Designer Vince Weber, worked closely with the homeowners to create an open and spacious floorplan with timeless beauty and appeal. “The existing kitchen was isolated from the rest of the house,” says Weber. “One of the redesign goals of the homeowners was to tie the kitchen with the living room to create a ‘living kitchen’ that would function as the central gathering space for the family.” The resulting design paired timeless colors and classic inset cabinetry to give the kitchen a casual elegance. The island was designed to feel like a furniture piece, which creates a visual divide between functioning kitchen, and the informal eating and living space.

It looks like we no longer carry these pendants. The Liza Grande Pendant from Tech Lighting has a textured glass cylinder, but it has a decidedly more contemporary feel to it. You can visit the product page on our website for more info, if you'd like. Happy hunting!

Generally speaking, the nook benches should be 18" from the floor to the seating platform...

I LOVE these nooks, booths, banquettes in the kitchens... I love the feeling of "cozy" and "comfort"... :)

The coffee mugs and pitcher on the table are Polish Pottery. It looks like the "peacock" pattern, but not sure. It is Polish Pottery though, I own a ton of it and love it. Not sure where you are located but Google it. You'll probably find some near you or definitely online.

Hi Joshua, thanks for your question! Our company is a full service design build firm, and as such we do undertake fairly large and more complex projects, such as a full gut interior remodel or addition, that require design work, architectural blueprints, permits and many different skilled tradespeople. If you're looking for a custom banquette such as this, you may be able to find either a skilled finish carpenter, or perhaps a local millwork company that would be able to create something similar for your home. Best of luck for a successful build!

Assuming the ceilings are 8 feet, thus the doors are 6'-8 in height, it appears the center of the arch is @ 6'-8" and the shoulder of the arch is around 6'-0 (+/- 2")

These light fixtures were originally purchased from Lightology, however they may no longer be available from that supplier. Several other people have previously asked about these fixtures as well, and another Houzzer suggested checking Gracious Home or Juliska for something similar. Good luck!

I think I found these pendants on Juliska called Column pendant from their Florence Collection. If they aren't the same then they are very close.

The cabinet company terms this paint color simply "White." The walls are also white, but we do not have a record of the exact shade, as the homeowners painted the room after our renovation work was completed.

Pillows can be a great way to bring color and texture into your space. Homeowners we've worked with are somewhat split on whether or not to add tailored cushions (I've attached images of both) to their breakfast nooks.

When selecting pillows, you may want to consider not only what colors you want to bring into the space, but the size that would be appropriate as well as the durability of the fabrics that may need a good cleaning once in a while.

Good luck finding something for your seating area!

Glad you like the seating area! The windows do not extend below the bench and the exterior simply continues the brick from the rest of the home. From the exterior it looks just like the continuation of the wall with 3 windows grouped together. Hope this helps!
