We recently had the opportunity to do a large remodel of our home. When looking around at several different contractors we ended up choosing Charter Construction. Not only did they provide us with the most thorough estimate they also seemed the least worried about themselves and more worried about making sure we were happy with end product. As most remodeled goes, things were not always perfect or as planned however they always provided insight and expert advice on what options we had, including in house architectural designs to ensure our enjoyment of our home for many years to come. They employee extremely knowledgeable staff that are in touch with current designs and have an unbelievable amount of resources. We had the opportunity to work with many different subcontractors and in-house employees (Brian Dennis, Jon Groesbeck, Michael Ritchie, James Morse, Genna Kolosov) they use. We were truly blown away at the level of respect they showed to our home even though it was in such disarray (even the music they played was appropriate as we have young children who would like to check on the progress and show up unannounced to Charter). I hired Charter to remediate my water damaged unit to get it back to new. There were a lot of components with demolition and removal, floor replacement, drywall, cabinet molding, baseboards, painting, electricals and tile repair. And we were not moving out for the repair period and therefore willing to ensure the disruption. Charter undertook a thorough inspection and comprehensive quote. They were open to negotiation and creative thinking to keep the costs under control. I was impressed with the planning that went into each day and the reports on progress along with challenges identified at the end of each day. Charter carefully thought through options and solutions for each problem encountered for what turned out to be an outstanding job undertaken with minimal fuss. The project came through on time and slightly under budget. I didn't even think that happened these days. I was extremely impressed with the work, enthusiasm and the attitude of this Charter crew. I call out Aaron Reynolds and Shawn Crider from Charter for their amazing work. Thank you.

We hired Charter after interviewing a number of GC's. Aaron Reynolds had great communication skills and his follow up was always on time. The attention to detail was great and their willingness to work with some unique requests never deterred them. When we redo our kitchen we will definitely give them a call.

They started and finished when they said they would, which is huge. I found them to be orderly, above board and respectful in all aspect of their work. Aaron and Kevin thought ahead and were ready with suggestions so nothing ever became a crisis. They won't cut corners on workmanship, so we probably could have gotten lower initial pricing, but I'm sure we would have been hit with extras that we just didn't get from Charter. The final price was virtually unchanged from the original contract. They have been very busy so it took some doing to get on their radar screen but the effort was well worth it.

Charter completed a very large and lengthy retaining wall project we were required to do in order to sell our Phinney Ridge home. Their professionalism, thoroughness, and sensitivity to our concerns and our neighbors' were impressive. The resulting wall is also impressive, and will still be there in the next century.

Really easy to work with and great advice - didn't use a designer, but Aaron at Charter helped us walk through the major steps, give consultation and was flexible when changes arose. The professionalism from Aaron was much appreciated and the workmanship from subs were good. Would consider again on another project.

Charter , Aaron Reynolds, has done two project for me in our condo. One was converting an existing closet into a closet on one side and a built-in, fully insulated, refrigerated wine closet on the other side. Wine storage side was spray foamed with insulation. Project turned out fabulous, on time an don budget. Extremely happy with the result. This was done in July/August 2014. The other project was a remodel of a guest bedroom to make the space more efficient and usable. This included moving an existing wall bed, adding built-in cabinets and shelving around the bed and incorporating a 12 foot long built-in desk with file drawers along an adjacent wall. Aaron and crew made several suggestions that improved the outcome of the project. Extremely happy with the results. Project also included taking out existing carpet and putting down a new wood floor. Aaron's crews are very reliable, keep work areas clean and neat, do an excellent job on detail and finish and get work completed on time. Highly recommend these guys.

Aaron and his Charter crew did a fabulous job with our kitchen remodel..it's gorgeous! Aaron is such a professional, easy to work with, detail oriented and so efficient. Charter completed a full master bath remodel including moving walls, installation of a steam shower, lots of tile, and new cabinetry. The manager of our job, Aaron was extremely professional, very attentive to our needs, patient with any changes and just in general a pleasure to work with. This was also consistent with the work crew who were timely, skilled, professional and attentive to detail and helpful with changes and questions. Overall the project was a great success and we are very pleased with the outcome.

I have had the pleasure of working with Charter in several different ways. As a Building Manager of a high rise condo, I hired them to work on the building. I also oversaw them as they worked on several remodels for homeowners in the building. I have also hired them to perform work for the property management company that I currently work with. In all cases, Charter has performed their work in the most professional manner and to a high level of craftsmanship. I recommend them without reservation for any needs you may have.

Two different jobs at different times in my condominium. Both performed skillfully, professionally, and of very high quality. Involved removal of tile flooring and replacing with hardwood, removal of glass sliding interior doors, installation of new drawer mechanisms throughout the unit, and paint and patch in some difficult areas. Minor repairs also performed. All done expertly.

Charter Construction built our custom home in 1997. It is a Shingle House which requires a fair amount of maintenance on an annual basis. They have done all of the maintenance since moving in. We have found them to be professional, honest, fair and consistent in the quality of their work. I highly recommend them.

Charter Construction has completed several projects for us. Our basement remodel was by far the most difficult. The basement, which dates to 1906, was mostly unfinished with pipes, wiring and duct work all exposed. Charter took on the rehab, including hiding everything in the ceiling, a very complicated undertaking. In addition they worked with our very uneven, broken floor. The end product is a beautifully finished work and family space with new woodwork throughout, a bathroom, wine room and cabinetry. The job presented problem after problem. Charter approached it with creative thinking and a lot of patience. Their work on this project and others they've done for us is always top notch, completed with precision and attention to detail. We will call Charter for our next project as well.

The better question is what didn't Charter do? End-to-end; start to finish Charter was phenomenal. They provided design services, execution, you name it. What was more impressive and perhaps appreciated was HOW they did their work. They were professional, good natured, extraordinary problem solvers. Building a home is stressful. The Charter Team consistently strives to eliminate the stress. A year later, absolutely no issues with an extraordinarily complex build project. That is saying a lot!

In March 2015 I began discussing remodel of 3 bathrooms with Charter's Aaron Reynolds and our interior designer. We had told Aaron that we were having wedding at our house and needed all work completed before our July 25th wedding. By May 1 we had settled on scope of work and had received Charter's estimate. Charter's Aaron assured us he could meet our deadline. We signed contract. Charter's performance was professional and outstanding. Workers kept worksite clean. Workers were well qualified. We encountered unforeseen conditions and Charter workers responded professionally. We could not have received better service. Charter completed job on time, within projected cost and all work was well done. Every aspect of Charter's performance met my expectations. I will hire Charter in the future for any contracting needs. I have referred close friends to Charter for construction work.

Charter did a great job making sure they gave us what we wanted. When we had to make some adjustments, Aaron always made sure they happened in a timely, professional way. Overall, we are very happy with how our condo turned out.

We had a terrific experience with Charter Construction. We hired them to remodel our condo ~ specifically the kitchen, and master bath. They also created two shelving units to house art and a sliding "faux" shoji screen for our front windows. Aaron Reynolds was the project manager and was always available for questions and meetings. He was professional and courteous and worked very well with our architect/designer, as were all his guys and the sub-contractors. We love the end result and would have them back in an instant! .

Charter especially my general contractor friend who works for Charter did an outstanding job. The general contractor provided an accurate estimate of the job cost. The job was completed on schedule. All the sub contractors brought in did a good job. The Charter crew's experience and attention to detail was excellent. I am a detail oriented structural engineer. All of the work performed by Charter exceeded my expectations including the finish carpentry.

Working with Aaron and Jason with Charter was a true pleasure. They were very professional and detail oriented. The job was complex between working with Charter's contractors, our contractors, and Interior Designer. To top that off Aaron had to jump through our Condo's remodeling rules and regulations. He did all of this seamlessly. I am in my dream home. I continue to brag and give credit to them as we have friends and neighbors come into our home.

I have used Charter Construction on numerous occasions from 2008 to 2013. Along with several smaller repairs, they have completed 3 major renovation projects: 2 in my condo and one in my work space. Charter Construction does an impeccable job every time. They were within budget and worked hard to complete the projects on time. They have knowledgeable, skilled professionals and craftsmen that worked together to complete the projects to perfection. In particular they responded quickly several times when the condo building roof leaked into my unit. They also did an excellent job making sure the repair matched the existing trims perfectly. I would not hesitate to use Charter again or recommend them to others.

Charter was hired to convert a new shower/glass shelving area/linen closet into a bath/jacuzzi area with seat. Charter was pre -approved by our condo board which made things streamlined. We approved the proposed work on the condition that I have a single contact for updates. There were only two issues, which weren't the fault of Charter, and they didn't pose too much of a delay or additional cost. The final product was absolutely beautiful! Additional kudos to Shawn, the point man, and the skill of the man who did the tiling work. While Charter is a choice that will cost, the value provided is worth it. We would rehire them for future work, without a doubt.

My house on Mercer Island was remodeled by Charter Construction with the help of Aaron Reynolds. I am delighted with the results! Charter, and Aaron, were completely professional, incredibly helpful with the design and with many construction ideas, as well as follow-up with all details of the project. Each of the details were thoroughly installed and done with great excellence and attention. The house was originally built in 1959, and now looks incredible: beautiful and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend Charter Construction, and will return to them if I decide to do another project.

It’s been almost 4 years since we remodeled our kitchen and powder room and added a deck and we continue to love the result! Working with Charter made the remodel a fun and gratifying experience. We were – still are – delighted with their quality work, commitment to staying on time and within budget, and personable service. The project involved the complete demolition of our existing kitchen and powder room, bumping out two external walls and one internal wall, completely rebuilding the kitchen, and adding a deck. We also had them rebuild a set of exterior cement stairs that connect the house to the street. We found the Charter team to be highly professional, personable, and very easy to work with. They were on time, followed through on what they offered, developed a time line and cost estimate and stayed on schedule and on budget. They went above and beyond on a number of occasions – negotiating the best price and finding resources for us. Our project was incredibly well managed and appeared seamless.
