Mindi Freng Designs

We highly recommend Mindi Freng Designs! Mindi has been invaluable to us on several projects over the years, including design and construction of our beloved "Grammie's Playroom". The playroom was unique, functional, and amazing. In fact, it was instrumental in a rather frantic real estate bidding war, resulting in the immediate sale of my condo at way over the asking price! Mindi is presently directing a major long-term whole house renovation for us. We are a couple who married later in life, and had two large homes full of "stuff" that we each loved, but the other didn't care for. Mindi has helped us find a style that is mutually appreciated, and that is no small task considering we both have completely opposite decor and design preferences that neither wanted to relinquish. We'll admit that we've avoided what might have been a subtle and unproductive War of Wills, had she not served as an effective and much-needed "negotiator" in most of our color selections, furniture, and accessory purchases. The results of her efforts here have been wonderful, and we are both delighted. Mindi has proven knowledgeable, flexible, capable and patient. She works well with other professionals, and has helped us save a significant amount of money on many expenditures. Many of Mindi's posted photos are of Mid Century design, but as we've found, she approaches other styles with equal enthusiasm and skill. If we ever get this place finished, (we're doing most of the work ourselves), we'll post photos.

We had an unique opportunity to work with Mindi and her designs on a remodeling TV show. Mindi's designs speak for themselves but she also shows a deep care and understanding for the project and her clients. We are excited to continue to work with her and can't wait to see what ideas she has for the next project.

Mindi is a phenomenal designer....She came to my house and we talked about the things I liked & didn't like, Colors I liked & didn't like etc..When my house was finished it was exactly what I wanted. She saw my vision. The vision I couldn't do myself. I was amazed! Sometimes when I look at designers pictures I think that room is ugly, cold, weird. Mindi Freng was extremely insightful into what our family needed when we purchased our home. The current home was lovely, but lacked the color that our family wanted. We needed a quick turn around as we had approximately 3 weeks to paint and put in new carpeting before we moved. She made time for me in her schedule and immediately came up with ideas that would liven up our home. She also provided fabulous options on rug that continues to get rave reviews. She was professional and provided a couple different options for us. I have continued to maintain contact with Mindi as we still lots to do in our home and I love her style.

Mindi has a gift for designing specifically for you, for making your space special, and for working creatively within whatever budget you set. She's done projects as small as framing art, to my sons' rooms when they became teenagers, to a remote whole house renovation. I'd recommend her anytime!

Mindi was my first experience with a professional designer. I was working with a very limited budget and needed to work with as much of what I already had as I could. At the same time I really desired a space (my living room, eating area, kitchen spaces) that was my style and not just a collection of hand me downs or impulsive purchases. Mindi understood this and worked within these parameters. She gave me a complete plan that included what I could do now and down the road as budget allowed. Most exciting for me, because of her personable and encouraging spirit, she helped open a creative side to me that I didn't know I had. Now I love to decorate my house! I would, and will, hire her to design more spaces in my house. I'd love to give her free reign, and budget, and see what she comes up with. I trust her that much!!

We have used Mindi Freng Designs a few times with our current and previous home. She does an amazing job at listening, taking into account your personal style but still adding in her designer style as well. Mindi has such a creative mind that comes up with the most fun and functional ideas. Her love for color is definitely what drew us to using her! She helped us re-do our kitchen in our previous home and was able to revitalize our builder grade kitchen into something with personality that really showed my husband's taste and mine as well. She also helped us re-do our basement living area into a more functional, kid/grown up space that was fun to be in. All of the projects that we have hired her for, big and small have been completely detail oriented as well. Many things that clients wouldn't think of, she's already got that taken care of (or already thought of). We highly recommend Mindi to anyone and everyone we know who is looking for some help making their house more of a home.

Mindi is an awesome designer!! She has a super great personality that is reflected in her work. She was very professional & showed herself to have integrity. When you work with Mindi, you will see her passion for her job & her passion for life. My favorite part of working with her, was that she encouraged me to express myself in the project & that she was as hands on or off as you needed her to be. We sold our house after having Mindi help us remodel it & we got $11,000 over asking price!! I can't wait to hire Mindi to help us transform our new home!!

Mindi helped surprise my daughters by making over their rooms. She was very professional, listened to what I wanted and helped give my girls the rooms of their dreams!!! I would recommend her to anyone that needs help with decorating on any budget!!!!!!!

We hired Mindi Freng for ideas to update our main bathroom. I had never liked the long narrow " ranch style house" bathroom. Since the update I actually am so much happier with this bathroom. Thinking the only thing was going to be paint and new flooring the finished room was awesome. I really liked Mindi's ideas, she actually had 3 different options and I chose the one I liked best. This included new cabinet door fronts which were lacquered with a yellow polished finish! Also previously there were 2 sinks and she encourage me to just have 1 and the extra counter space has been much more useful than a 2nd sink ever was. She designed a large mirror framed in the same yellow lacquer, also tile back splash and new flooring. Also, accents completed the look. She was good at staying within our budget,even allowing my husband to do some of the work to save money. She had installers to do work he wasn't able to. She is very easy to work with and surely knows her business. We have received many compliments on the bath room.

Mindi is great to work with. She helped us design our new house. She helped coordinate wall colors, flooring, lighting, counter tops, and back splashes. We LOVE the look!! She also has a lot of connections and is knowledgable about where to get certain items and helps makes your house unique.
