Tanya has taken care of many of my clients with professionalism, timeliness, and years of experience. She brings a unique eye to interior design while adding great value. She's open to contemporary designs as well as more traditional ones. Furthermore, what I admire is her ability to understand what the client is trying to achieve, all while tailoring that objective to their unique style. It's all rather impressive.

Tanya and her team did an excellent job for us. They are more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. This is especially important with respect to fit / finish and overall quality.

I worked with Tanya from ideation/design until the end of my renovation (kitchen and master bath) and had a wonderful experience! •Design & Creativity – Tanya brought years of expertise to the table. It was very important that we minimized any movement of plumbing/electrical, created a more functional/open space, and added more value to our home without going too “funky”. Tanya merged all our wants/needs into a beautiful design. •Coordination of Materials/Construction – No renovation is stress-free, but Tanya managed all the day-to-day in terms of tracking the materials and delivery, coordinating with the construction crews, and reviewing the work. Tanya also uses her own team of workers whom she trusts and you know you’re getting a crew with years of experience. •Issue Remediation – As with any renovation, there were some bumps in the road. There were a few incidences of miscommunication, a question on an invoice, and some items we requested be touched up. Tanya was 100% professional, responsive, and resolved any and all items of concern along the way. •Emergencies – I have to throw in that after the renovation was complete, we experienced an unrelated, but major plumbing issue. There was extensive damage to our home after the issue was repaired. I called Tanya in a panic (I was 36 weeks pregnant), and she moved her schedule around to get her crew out to my home and complete repairs. It was an incredibly stressful time, and she came through like a champ!

Thank you Tanya so much for being our interior designer and our GC ( general contractor) we started this project, renovation of our master bath master bed and powder room in January it is just finished and It is beautiful.! I gave Tanya pictures of the bathroom I liked and we designed it together. She was really listening what we want and came with some great solutions tot make everything looking so beautiful and functional. We were definitely dealing with some delays because of supplies were delayed but she kept us informed all the time what was going on. When everything was in she really made sure all here people were showing up she was going above and beyond for us to get everything ready before May 14 date because we had our daughters wedding. At the end we felt we were in one of those TV shows because every one showed up to get the job done! Thank you Tanya for all your effort to make us feel we are having a designer bed/ bathroom suite.

I decided to use Tanya for a small bathroom remodel. My plan was to see how things went with that project then move on to my master bathroom and kitchen. My experience with her was extremely frustrating. We ended up parting ways mid project because we weren’t willing to work with her any longer. By that time, I realized that on top of nearly doubling the projected budget numbers, she was also marking costs up by 35-50%. We also had additional expenses due to her poor planning.

Tanya did an amazing job! I needed Christmas décor for a TV commercial shoot and she delivered. Tanya understood my vision and brought it life.

Tanya is amazing! I am so thrilled by the design she created, and so satisfied with the process. I reached out to Tanya to design the interior lobby of my dog daycare business, Pups & Pals. We signed a lease on a new building for our 2nd location, and upon entering the building for the first time, I was so overwhelmed by what I saw. It was dark, damp, felt very un-inviting. I knew that it needed to be brightened up and transformed, but I didn't have the expertise for such a daunting task! I reached out to Tanya to see if she could help, and her enthusiasm and the ideas she was coming up with during the initial consultation were so exciting! I knew she was the right person for this transformation. And what a transformation it was! Tanya's ideas were ones that I would not have thought of myself. I trusted her and gave her full control, and I'm so glad that I did. With some of her ideas I was skeptical at first, but I decided to trust her because she really knows what she is doing! I was so glad I did this! Every one of her ideas was even more beautiful upon completion. When I saw the colors and textures she chose in person, I could see how they all fit together. She really looks at the big picture of the full design. One of the ideas I was unsure about was that she wanted to stain the ceiling darker. I thought it was going to make the space feel dark and damp and smaller than it already was. Well when paired with the white wash paint she did on the walls, the ceiling really brought the whole room together and in fact, opened it up and made it look larger and more inviting! The ceiling is now my favorite part of the entire design! That is what I mean by trusting her--she is the pro! She put her 100% effort into everything from the big decisions of paint colors and furniture, down to the small details. I am so in love with the lobby space that she created, and my clients at my business love it too! It is exactly what I wanted! Thank you Tanya!

Literally one of the worst and most stressful experiences we have ever had! In November of 2017, we chose to use Tanya/Studio 74 to do an extensive remodel to include building a new garage and renovating the interior of our home. We wanted to start in January and have it completed by the summer. Tanya said this could be done. However, the remodel did not start on time and as of December 2018, is not completed. Looking back, there were red flags from the very beginning that we ignored or hoped would get better. Budget was always first and foremost for us. From the very beginning, we stressed our need to stay within a budget and told Tanya that if the project couldn’t be done within it, we would hold off and do it on a later date. She assured us it could be. Around every corner there were delays and the continued excuses for them. We were very forgiving and trusting in the beginning, but this wore thin the more it happened. The issues with building the garage and roof were numerous. When we began noticing the costs exceeding the projections, we voiced our concerns. The project was in its early stages and there were no surprises to account for the increases. One main issue with the garage was the garage door opening. It was made 80” high, not the standard 84” high. This error was clearly noticed after the garage door was installed; part of the windows was covered up by the header. Tanya acknowledged the build error and said she would fix it (which eventually never happened). Ultimately, her contractor, John, was not able to build the garage anywhere near the proposal. Also, when John looked at the cost numbers Tanya had given us to remodel the interior, he said those numbers were not the numbers he told Tanya and he could not do it for that amount. Tanya said it was a ‘misunderstanding’ and that was what she thought John said were the costs. John eventually walked off the project while we were gone on vacation. At this point, most of the main areas of our home were torn down and we were living out of 3 bedrooms of our house with kids now home from college. We found there were too many ‘miscommunications’ between everyone…. Tanya and us, Tanya and her painter, Tanya and her contractors, etc. Clearly there was a common denominator. Tanya told us once our project got started we were going to be her priority. It didn’t appear to be that way because nothing seemed to get done. After FOUR months of no kitchen and continually hearing that she ‘made a call to so-and-so but they haven’t called me back’, we found our own cabinet supplier. And, again, she grossly underestimated the costs for the cabinets. Throughout this project, we felt things were continually done on-the-fly. We repeated asked for a timeline. We wanted to get ahead of the game and be prepared for what was coming. Time and time again, we were left scrambling to get things prepared or to make decisions at the last minute. This was frustrating for us and her contractors. Due to being so far overbudget (nearly $20k over), we began looking over invoices more closely and asking for detailed descriptions for the expenses. A few times, when we questioned the amount of a charge, she ended up decreasing the invoice but would ‘remember’ she hadn’t charged us for something and would send a corrected invoice to reflect it. This would usually end up showing we owed more than the first invoice! Several times, she asked us to pay for something we had already paid. She also omitted key costs from her proposal; ex. Tanya forgot to include paint for our entire project along with labor for some of the tiling. We ended up going our separate ways before project completion (our decision) as we had lost total trust and confidence in her abilities as a general contractor and as a designer. At this meeting, she still agreed to have our garage fixed. We have tried to contact her multiple times to get this resolved (email, text and phone) and she will NOT respond. At the onset of this project, she talked of being honest and trustworthy. Sadly, we have found this claim to be challenged multiple times throughout our project. Note, the electrical, plumbing, flooring and tiling contractors were fantastic. We’d be happy to refer them. This cannot be said of the garage builder or the designer.

I truly cannot recommend Tanya highly enough. She was both extremely professional and personable. She understood our needs and budget and delivered just what we wanted. Her creative solution to adding a bathroom in a tight space where we had multiple restrictions was more than we could have hoped for. Her organization and preparation made the job as easy on us as possible and kept us on schedule. She was very quick to address any issue that came up and took everything we said seriously. You won't find anyone better to entrust with your home and you won't regret choosing Tanya for your home improvement needs!

Tanya is an amazing designer. She is always on the cutting edge of design. Tanya is great to work with and will always tell you the truth! I have been working with Tanya since 2012 and her designs always seems to amaze me.

We started working with Tanya in October 2016. She helped us turn our builder home into a custom home. She has great style and made us think about things in a whole other way during our remodel. We really have enjoyed working with Tanya and we have become good friends.

We recently finished construction on a new home and excited to move in – mostly anyway. The nagging problem was the underwhelming look of a few of the choices we had made when finishing the house. Some of the tile, granite, and colors just didn’t work the way we had expected. That’s when we contacted Tanya to help. I admit I was skeptical as to what could be accomplished this late in the process. I was also in no mood to take on the cost of reworking items in a newly constructed home. That said, I must say that Tanya delivered well beyond expectations. Tanya walked the house, listened to our concerns, and proposed solutions that made sense to us. She was careful to minimize rework, she utilized existing materials in new ways, and she brought in new materials that tied it all together. We implemented what Tanya proposed and are thrilled with the result.
