She has impeccable taste, a keen eye for the important details, which we share in appreciation, and a great sense of humor to boot.

I love how my house turned out. We are having such a good time in it. Tineke did a particularly amazing job with the bathroom materials (tile, etc) and with styling the house using our own collection of artifacts and art. Overall, she was able to take my ideas and make them better than I could have hoped for. Everything looks great. Even where she encouraged me to go out of my comfort zone, I love the result.

I have worked with Artistic Designs for Living on three full house remodels and would highly recommend the firm. Our most recent project was a full house remodel that included a kitchen, family room, living room, dining room, office, gym/playroom, movie room, 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. ADL was really good and listening to our wants and needs while helping us to push beyond our comfort zone. They really understood our lifestyle (3 kids and lots of entertaining) and helped us select materials and fabrics that would hold up for many years. We can honestly say that we still love the choices that ADL selected 5 years after our remodel. ADL really focused on keeping us on budget AND on schedule which was really important to us since we were dying to get into the house before the school year started. We would definitely work with ADL again!

Tineke not only has impeccable style herself, but she truly understands the wishes and vision of her clients to help bring their homes to life. I loved how she encouraged us to venture outside our normal comfort zone, which resulted in a more creative, dynamic interior. Friendly, trustworthy and tireless at her work as well, she made me a believer in the full value of a designer's offerings.

Tineke is incredible! She designed all of the main public rooms of our large house in Marin - living room, family room, eat-in kitchen, dining room, entry foyer, front porch - and did a superb job. I couldn't be happier. She is very, very talented, with a great eye for palette, texture, layout and flow. Her style - with us at least - was a blend of hip, sophisticated, earthy and playful that was just perfect. Tineke took the time to really get to know our family and it's personality. We're artsy and super-casual, and wanted the design to reflect that - and it did. At many points we weren't sure what exactly we wanted - just the "feel" - and she guided us gently and well, presenting lots of good ideas and going from there. She was respectful of our budget and never tried to upsell us - in fact, she got us some pretty incredible deals ($75 for a large vintage clock face? Wow.) Her sourcing was very broad, ranging from Crate and Barrel basics to high-end custom pieces to flea market treasures. A perfect balance for budget, comfort and aesthetics. Her schedule was realistic, and she was in close touch every step of the way. She's a real pro, and very easy to work with. On top of all this, Tineke is simply a lovely person. She's warm, funny, down-to-earth, and super-sweet. We became friends over this process, which doesn't always happen :) Clearly, I HIGHLY recommend Tineke and her wonderful team at Artistic Design for Living!

Tineke is a seasoned professional with an amazing visual-spacial gift. She can visualize a space, see how it will work successfully for a family and execute the plan. She is decisive and has the best taste. I would definitely hire her again.

Tineke has a great design aesthetic and creates a design that fits the space. She designed my bathroom and kitchen. Both feel light, airy and the function extremely well.

I am a location scout in the SF Bay Area for the Pottery Barn catalogs and every season I check out Houzz to see what new and beautiful project Tineke has done. I just gave her a call while on her Houzz page and realized I should be writing a review for this wonderful woman! I call on occasion because her work is so beautiful and her color choices really move me. I think Tineke is one of my favorite interior designers and I work with many. I have had a telephone relationship with her for 7 or 8 years as I call her in hopes of scouting her clients homes for photo shoots. She has always been welcoming and kind. I finally saw her in person at an event several months ago and it was clear that the fun and warm personality that shows in her work permeates from her. Tineke is lovely and I was greeted with a great smile. Every home I've been in of hers has been impeccable and gorgeous.

Tineke immediately was able to adopt our aesthetic and help us make good decisions for our home rebuild. She knew aesthetics as well as function and helped refine our plans and optimize the use of our space. Her team was expedient and responsive. Very happy with her help and would definitely use her again.

I hired Artistic Designs for Living for furniture & fixture design after seeing house after house that they worked on. I knew long before I was ready to hire them that they would be my eventual Design team. After the initial meeting at my construction site with Tineke and her Senior Designer, they immediately sent me a low-medium-high estimate for furnishing each room. The estimate was within the price range we discussed and we started work very quickly. I pretty much worked exclusively with a Senior Designer and her admin team. I could NOT have been happier with the level of service she and the admin team provided. It seemed that everything she suggested I loved because she learned my style very early on. They were all very responsive to my calls and emails. I don't think I ever waited longer than one day to hear back. I highly recommend Artistic Designs for Living and I will hire them again for a few remaining projects.

My husband and I hired Artistic Designs for Living last fall to help us decorate our new home. We have been so thankful for their services! Our home has turned out beautifully and it has been so easy to work with Tineke and Julie. Julie is incredibly knowledgable about the market, prompt with her suggestions, and responsive to our feedback. She is friendly, organized, and realistic. We have loved working with her!

Tineke and her team were amazing. Tineke visited my house once and from what I described was able to determine what type of fixtures, appliances, tile, flooring, etc I would like. And because she listened and understood my style I was able to walk into her office and in essentially two hours select everything (from flooring, to tile, backsplash, cabinets, bathtub, fausets, knobs, etc) for my new bathroom and kitchen. Tineke also helped design both the bathroom and the kitchen. This was again a very streamlined process as she understood what I wanted. I wanted my remodel completed in 6 weeks which was very aggressive. But Tineke and her team managed the contractor, obtaining appliance and other products timely and the cabinet builder. As a result of them managing this process they met my six week deadline. While I currently have no additional remodeling needs right now I would absolutely use Tineke and her team again.

I worked with ADL for several projects in my home - interior design throughout the home and a complete remodel of one bathroom. Tineke and Julie are easy and fun to work with and they both have fantastic taste. My house looks beautiful, but at the same time it has a warm and welcoming look feel (i.e., not too overdone) and is very livable / functional.

Tineke used her creativity and engineering knowledge to redesign our crowded space in san francisco and create more living and storage space. She and her team also redecorated several rooms in our house. They selected the paint colors, flooring, lighting and furniture and we are very happy with both the look and feel. I highly recommend Tineke. She is extremely talented and a pleasure to work with.

I hired Artistic Designs for Living when I was doing a complete house design, from a full remodel through furnishings and decor. We are extremely pleased with Tineke's design ideas, customer service, responsiveness and cost. The whole experience has been great. Tineke and ADL have helped modify the floor plan of our home. They've designed every detail of the interior spaces and they've designed the furniture and finishes. I think if they had a structural engineer on staff they could do it all. Before selecting a design firm, my partner and I visited over 50 firms' web pages and read hundreds of online client reviews. Because we had very limited time and needed extensive project management as well as design assistance, we were looking for a full-service company that also had a unique design POV, was mindful of budget, and wasn't afraid of color. Artistic Designs for Living (ADL) lived up to all of our expectations. Over the past 18 months, ADL has designed and project-managed project after project for us; the truth is, we loved their work SO much, we kept bringing them back until they had redesigned our entire house as well as our garage and our patio! Sonya Manning was the lead designer for all of our projects--and we absolutely LOVE her!! Sonya is remarkably creative--both adventurous and one-of-a-kind in her point of view yet with amazing taste and restraint. We loved working with Sonya because she was one of the kindest and most patient professionals we've ever worked with, and she really listened to our needs and wants (for example, we wanted pet-friendly materials, and she worked hard to find options that were both beautiful and durable). Sonya has a subtle and inclusive way of working with clients, giving us multiple options for furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, lighting, and other materials (across a continuum of price points) so that WE could make the decision on everything that ended up in our home. Because Sonya carefully screened all the options in advance to make sure all of them would work, our rooms were beautifully coordinated--even though we participated. This made us really feel like an important part of the process and ensured we were truly bought in to the final result. Sonya managed all of the dozens of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers who worked on our house over the course of the many projects, and when there was an occasional issue with a contractor or supplier, she took care of it swiftly without us having to do anything. The results of Sonya's artful design and skillful project management were extraordinary: our home was a finalist in the 2013 California Home + Design Awards competition! While it's nice to have our home recognized by the design community, what really matters is that we LOVE coming home every evening! My partner and I have said that it's like living in a piece of art--a one-of-a-kind masterpiece created just for us. Thank you, Sonya, Tineke, and the entire ADL design team for bringing joy and inspiration to our lives through your magnificent design.

Tineke Triggs helped us immensely with our complete remodel of our cottage in Marin. She is thorough, thoughtful, open to ideas, VERY organized, and a delight to work with. She was always a good listener and really heard what we were looking for. Her staff was very helpful. We would encourage anyone in the Bay Area to look her up for great design advice. A visit to her amazingly designed office space is a must :-).

This is the second time my husband and I are working with Tineke (Tee-na-ka----everyone asks) and ADL. Our first experience left no doubt that we would never attempt something as difficult as a home remodel without her help. She has impeccable taste, a genius for layout and thinking (literally) out of the box, her color and paint selections are perfect and best of all she helped our marriage survive the process. Luckily my husband and I agreed on most remodel decisions, but whenever we reached an impasse we settled it by just saying---"Let Tineke decide." We never regretted this. In addition, she has built up a fantastic team to support her. They reflect all that we liked about working with T, including their optimistic, problem-solving attitude. Bottom line: highly recommend.

Tineke has assisted me with several remodels. I've enjoyed and used many of her ideas/suggestions. She has brought in some unusual materials that have made the updated look of our 1950's rancher interesting and inviting without changing the casual original feel. Great textures and color combinations. Additionally, she's super sweet to work with!

Tineke is as good as it gets. She has amazing taste and design sense that reaches across many styles. And she was able to do what mattered the most for us: creating a home that is a true reflection of our family, our style, and the way we want to live. Tineke is as comfortable doing the down and dirty grit of taking measurements and revising cabinetry design as she is navigating all levels -- high end and low -- of the Bay Area design world. Tineke is amazing at color, furniture selection, balancing budget w/ need, and pulling everything together so it all works together in both aesthetic and function. Plus, she is a TOTAL pleasure to deal with and ego is never an issue with her, which are qualities that money can't buy. Truly every step of the way, Tineke was there with amazing creativity, resources and know-how. In the course of our two year, total remodel, we dealt with dozens of service, construction and design related people, and Tineke was always, always a bright spot among the stress and the grind of the process. Another distinguishing factor -- Tineke is accountable right down to the very end. If there's a problem, she makes it right. A year later, she is still calling with new ideas and thoughts, still making sure we are happy with it all. It's amazing to find all these qualities in one person, and we count finding and choosing Tineke as one of the best and most important things to happen on our project. Our magnificent home and our sanity is testament to her wide and deep talent.

Tineke did an amazing job with our home. She helped us really pull it all together from tile to paint colors to hardware to window treatments & furniture & fabric. We couldn't be happier and it has been great for our family of 6. She was budget conscious, responsive, and great on timing too. We worked very well together overall and with her team.

The firm has amazing taste and competitive prices on high end items, but the hours really add up. They charge not only for finding the item, but also for following up on it and getting it to you. Typically, any money you might save vs. a retail store is wiped away by the hourly fee. I couldn't afford some of their recommendations and they weren't able to help me on my modest budget. If I had unlimited funds, this firm would be my first choice. I really like their work. They can have anything made.

Tineke was great to work with at every step of our large remodeling project. She understood our desire to maintain the Edwardian character of our home, she streamlined the process of making hundreds of decisions (products, colors, etc.), and she was very creative in solving a number of space-planning challenges. She's professional, organized, has very high standards, and is fun to work with.

Tineke remodeled my entire house - 5 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, 2 offices, living room, dining room, family room and master kitchen. She was exactly the designer I was looking for. When I first met her, she was very approachable and down to earth. The photos of her work on her website speak for themselves and I was thrilled that she had a delightful personality to match (i.e. no diva attitude!). She is very easy to work with. She incorporated all my requests and worked with me to splurge where it would have the most impact and tastefully scale back where we could. She worked extremely well with my architect and contractor and I know that many of the little issues that came up never made it to my ears. I have absolutely zero regrets with the work Tineke did for me. I walk around every day in my house amazed that it is so beautiful. She designed a couple bathrooms for my girlfriend and I felt like all that was missing was a cucumber and eucalyptus cool towel for my forehead. It was so spa like.

Tineke Triggs is innovative, open-minded, creative, and a delight to work with. Tineke is flexible, tireless and full of wonderful ideas.
