Good people and decent products, delivered material with straight cracks are not able to use it. However, digress from the story, the salesperson Robert L P. made a mistake with the order, and one of the process was that I will have to call in separately to have the material pickup instead for their shipping to remove the material prior to delivery. Don't understand it, but however it is their process and to me it seemed we are correcting the problem and not fueling it. While delivering my contractor noticed the error and reminded the driver it was wrong and a possible return. The driver lost his cool and was very unprofessional. I understand these things happen but now I see how the whole process is draining on both the customer and workers. I now have scheduled for their pickup, and numerous times have asked for when the person will arrive. No response !!! I can't schedule for the dumpster or anything else as the material taking up the driveway space. Tart Lumber was highly recommended and don't want people to shy away from reading this review. Everyone's experience is different. Mine has been frustrating

My husband was tearing down and rebuilding our deck. We looked at supplies and pricing options at the big box home improvement stores and decided to go to Tart mainly so I could see samples of the actual decking material since big boxes only had brochures with color swatches. I'm so glad we made that trip. Not only did I get to see all the samples (and take some home free), but we also got to meet Rich. My husband is a very handy person and I would say probably more knowledgable than the average guy about construction. Rich was the deck guy extraordinaire. He helped my husband package supplies together and even made some design suggestions that saved us a good deal of money. He knows what he is doing and has built several decks himself (not to sure I would feel real confident taking that kind of advice from the big box). He even gave my husband his cell number in case he ran into any issues. Best part of all, Rich's services were free (and he spent A LOT of time working with us). I would also like to mention that Tart Lumbers prices were extremely competitive and in a few cases cheaper than big box. They were very accommodating to our kids also. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who directed us to Rich and then got little construction aprons and pencils for my kids, it was a really nice touch and it kept them occupied for a while. Bottom line, Tart Lumber a great experience, highly recommend!
