We like greens- would love to add plants, trees, etc

Consider swivel chairs. We also put a TV on our patio but wanted to be able to look at the yard as well. They are also good for conversation.

I will also be adding some planters under the window and around the patio for some color.

I would put a large custom wrought sign (maybe saying your last name patio inc 2024 - you can find them on Etsy) or design print on that back wall right behind the sofa. Maybe change out the rug to the green color you like for a little pop of color. Move the 2 chairs to face couch. A white/off white coffee table. Then maybe a couple large planters to flank the TV and add whatever medium to large plants you like in them that do well in shade. Then I would add some decorative outdoor throw pillows and maybe a blanket on the sofa.

If you choose to have live trees/plants…be sure to choose shade lovers..that will survive well with the average amount of natural light and temperature in your space..

Generally speaking furniture that reclines is favored in these situations…if you want to spoil yourself…but the moveable ottomans are more flexible for arranging when having more guests

The brick wall that projects out a little ..is an obvious place for a focal point of art or a big decorative metal piece..if that appeals to you..after you have finished the rest

Even a a metal screen for planting greenery there…

You might consider taking the current sofa and floating it, facing the TV on an outdoor rug. Then place the chairs where the sofa are. You could look at getting some plants to place around, a few side tables, a water feature, and perhaps some other seating like a chaise or lounger. Below are a few visuals to help you more with your dilemma.

A more colorful rug, have the sofa face the tv, coffee table, and either pair the chairs or flank the sofa. Put an outdoor buffet/bar against the brick wall with art above it. You can keep outdoor glasses, plates, linens in there and put drinks and snacks on it.
