I am an architect who is trying to get a Homeowners' Committee to allow Hardie plank and shingles on a home I am designing that is similar to this one. It would help me make my case if I could tell them that is what you used here. Is it Hardie or another brand of cementious siding OR wood? Thanks so much.

  • mrsrader

    These are wood shingles

Great house! We're building a new home in Northern California and would love to see the floor plan. Is it available?

This beautiful home reminds of a gorgeous Cape Cod type home. Very similar to this house plan: New Haven House Plan by LotPlans . This Hamptons style house looks perfect for a 4th of July BBQ!!

This is EcoStar Majestic Slate in Black; the prism snow guards are copper.

No this is not faux slate. This is real eastern red cedar and real copper for the standing seam roof in the front.

    It's not a brown stain?

For white trim we will typically use Benjamin Moore Decorator's White or Linen White for a softer white. The blue is a color that we custom mixed for the clients, also using BM paint!

Hi there! Siding is real western red cedar, we're all about real natural materials over here. The paint color is a custom color we mixed for the clients using Benjamin Moore.

  • greatdebinos

Would it be close to Hale Navy? What is the trim color?

It is a custom color. Trim is BM Decorato's White.

  • Dave71344

I like the exterior color but I wish you would share the mix.

I don't know if has an exact name to it, however, it could be described as a shingle style, updated colonial. I hope this helps.
  • Kim Richardson
It does. Thank you so much!

It's our signature style. Modern interpretation of Shingle and Tudor styles. We call it a "Shtudor"!

I know the homeowner consulted with a decorator who has since retired. However, the homeowner and I collaborated on many of the design elements together.

Multiple gables that aren’t all the same. Window variation, small and large. Material variation: shake siding, mixing in metal, some arches with square and rectangular windows. Might want more stone. Lots of windows. Colors and contrasts. Smooth eaves, no rafters showing. Minimal landscaping. Front porch that seems to go somewhere towards the left.

Love colour of siding, combined with white columns/trim, and stone veneer at bottom
