    It had wine in it for months if not years -- is not drying it down really going to hurt it?! lol

    @ Lisa A - By using it daily, it stays pretty wet. During the summer, we occasionally need to sponge water on the inside sides. We also did not seal the barrel as that would have prevented water from getting to it & it would dry out
