We found Jillian on houzz.com and cannot say enough about the work she has done for us. We have a 1/2-acre lot in queen creek and a new build home that was a modern design. Initially I was going to design it myself as I have a degree in Architecture, lots of landscaping experience and full-time builder, plus I hate to pay for something I can do myself, yes that means I am cheap. Well after spending a month messing around with new landscape software and trying to come up with a plan that would work with our new home, I came across one of Jillian's designs and I was blown away. I reached out to Jillian and scheduled an appointment with her to come out to Queen Creek. Her final design took all the elements I was looking for she came up with a unique design that my wife and I loved. We were one of first homes in the neighborhood to install our landscaping and we have notices that other homes have tried to replicate some of Jillian's design ideas, but we still have the best looking, well thought out, yards/homes in the neighborhood. We highly recommend Jillian. If you are reading this and are trying to do your landscaping on the cheap, don't let the design be the area you sacrifice. We spoke to several folks before going with Jillian. In looking at designs they did on other homes, they all looked the same. You can tell that Jillian’s design was specific for our home as it just fits. I will try and upload some photos once our yard has recovered from this past Arizona summer. Only plants that did not make it are a few I changed from the original design because I thought they looked a little better. Now I am going back and replacing them with ones Jillian's original recommended. She is a true professional and we will use her again. Thanks Jillian!!!

Be prepared for the problem that Jillian will create for you that your house will become the envy of your neighborhood. That’s what happened to us. And as the landscape design continues to grow in, it gets even more and more beautiful every year. Jillian was amazing to work with. We provided some inspirational photos, as well as describing the modern style that we were looking for, and she provided a super innovative, beautiful design for our front yard, as well as poolscape and backyard as well. We were super lucky to have her, and I am to the point where I’m willing to pay for my neighbors to use her just to have a better looking block!

Jillian is an exceptional designer! She worked closely with us and revised/refined the design until it was absolutely perfect. She provided detailed drawings, specs, all material/plant schedules for clear understanding. Very helpful when coordinating trades. While we are only about 20% complete with our project, we know it's going to turn out excellent. Such a great value when taking on a large landscaping project. A+ Highly Recommend.

Jillian understood the desires immediately, and came up with an lovely set of plans for a refresh/remodel of the already nice desert landscaping. We are looking forward to seeing the plans come to fruition when the current backlog of jobs eases and we have a contractor able to do the project.

Jill was great to work with. She did a site walk for listening to what we were looking for. Then we recieved an initial design. We loved it. She finished it with a final design that included multiple plant options. We couldn’t be more pleased by our experience with Modland Design. We highly recommend.

We were super happy with our modern, desert landscape design from Jillian. We never would’ve been able to envision this without her, and sticking with the plan was the best thing that we could’ve done! We love the look of the landscape design, as well as all the other advice you gave us around fences and colors etc.

Modland design did an excellent job designing our mid-century modern home's exterior landscaping/hardscaping. Jillian is super creative and came up with excellent design features that completely improved our project. She designed an outdoor living space, poolside deck area and water feature "zen garden" area. Currently under construction but will post pics in the future!

Jillian at Modland design helped us completely rework our outside space. After renovating the interior of our Paradise Valley mid-century modern home, we relied on Jillian to reimagine our outside space (which had not been altered since the 1960's!). Jillian listened to our ideas for the space and quickly produced a design that met our expectations for look and budget. She is extremely easy to work with--very flexible and willing to consider options. The final design included a reworked pool space, new back and front yards, and the creation of a grass side yard built on a hillside. Not easy! We also appreciated her commitment to desert friendly plants and simplicity. We would definitely seek out her expertise for any future projects!

My husband and I have the pleasure of working with Jillian on our project to design the landscape for our new home in Paradise Valley. Jillian is professional, with a high level of integrity, and a sincere interest in getting the utmost for her clients. She is a good listener and welcomes collaboration from all team members.
