Wow so unexpected that you would pair "chocolate" subway tile with a black and white kitchen.. AND
with what appears to be navy counter stools and carpet under the dining table....It's really so stylish and beautiful, thanks again for your answers.

Just confirming it's Benjamin Moore 980 "Woodcliff Lake"?

Just curious if you what finish you used? Matte, Egg Shell, Satin, of Semi-Gloss? Looks like Matte or Egg Shell. Your design is an inspiration!

Thank you for the nice words... very much appreciated.
Your "bench" is 4 meters? Are you saying that your "island" is 4 meters long? The island in the photograph is 4' x 12' Here is the link for the lights in the photo

    http://stores.homestead.com/hudsongoods/-strse-1712/industrial-metal-glass-cone/Detail.bok

If your island is a large as I think it is then I would use the same light fixtures. If you want a smaller alternative you could use the Berlin Pendant from Roost...

    http://www.shopurbancottage.com/shop/lighting/207/Roost+Berlin+Pendant+Lights.htm

Lots of luck with your kitchen!

Many, many thanks to you Jason for such a detailed response. Greatly appreciated. Yes my island is 4 metres (I have 3 young boys who love their food & their space!!) so yes I agree that the larger cone will be perfect and I can source similar styles here in Australia. So thrilled I discovered your designs. Kind regards, Meg..

Hi, "No, not really." The island needs the contrast of the lighter floor. If you change the color of the island to white you'll be ok. As for the rest of the colors, you may want to lighten the paint color a bit. If you need design help with your home you can call or email us and set up a design consultation.
