    Thank you for the kind compliment! We love this look too and use it on many projects. The step stones are Pennsylvania Bluestone, a variety of slate.

    We specified 2'x2' Pennsylvania Bluestone set on gravel.

    set directly on gravel vs mortar? is there risk of them moving if only putting on packed gravel? I'm doing similar project.
