Kitchen pass through

I want to add a pass through from the kitchen to living/dining area. My thought was to remove the 2 uppers next to the fridge. Should I go to the ceiling? Or keep it a few inches down. Also should I keep the width of the cabinets removed or go to the wall on the right? Does anyone have photo shopping skills to show what it could look like. I'm not sure if it would look funny once open. Behind it is just an open wall. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Why so high? How on earth are you ever going to be able to use it for anything servicable?

No I would take out backsplash too. About 6-8 inches from countertop, just trying to figure out how high up to go and how far right.

Pass through usually refers to a smaller opening.

I doubt that would improve things. If it's functioning now, keep it as is. Spend the money filling up the wine rack!
