Hi Louisa22, I am not sure about the flooring in the living room. We are the metal fabricators that made the cable railings. I can tell you however that the decking is "Ipe Brazilian Walnut". Ipe is a popular choice for many of our cable railing top rails since it is very hard and dense. Hope that helps!
