Hello - The balusters and newel posts are the originals from when this house was built in 1899. We fully restored them back to their original beauty. What wood species were used for the Newell posts? Were they originally painted? Is the finish a semi gloss?

The newell posts were originally an oak species, painted and we had them sanded and re-painted during the restoration process. The paint used on the newell posts and balusters was Benjamin Moore, vanilla milkshake in a semi-gloss. Good Luck with your project!
