I'm trying to figure out the best way to layout the furniture in our livingroom:
Some things to know about the space:
-the living room and dining room share one room
-In the picture showing the big front window and sofa, we are taking down the wall to the left of the window- it will become an island looking into the kitchen with stools along the edge.
-we would like living room furniture that would encourage some interaction between living room and kitchen for when we are entertaining or just watching the kids destroy the house.
-there will be no TV in this room, it is a reading/playing/hosting room.
-we were considering a sectional that would sit along the wall to the right of the window and in front of the right side of the window (think Ikea Karlstad sectional) but worried it will feel too big for the space/look weird blocking the window. The pro is that people sitting on the couch could easily engage with people in the kitchen, and also the kids would probably love it.
Open to opinions on this idea, other ideas and suggestions. Anything! Thanks :)
