Mantel height vs. ceiling height?

We are mid-renovation and had planned to put our flat screen over our reclaimed mantel - no other real options with layout we've got. Can you tell me how tall this mantel is and how hight the ceilings are in this room? Thank you!

If you were to put a TV over a mantle this high in a room of this size, I'd say it is too high and might be uncomfortable to watch. My guess on this room is 8 or 9 foot ceiling and the mantle at almost 5 feet high.

Thank you! Our room is a good bit larger than this one seems to be, so tv height would not be as bad. Your input is very helpful!
