I specified a large wood-burning fireplace insert in stainless steel with glass doors so the metal will stand up to weather and resist rusting. It is rated for exterior use. I recall it being approximately $3,000. This screened in patio deck was part of the original construction of the home. When designing this outdoor living space I incorporated the fireplace design using the same brick as on the exterior of the home to successfully coordinate it with the home and to save costs.
