Are the square blocks poured concrete or pavers? What type of pavers?

How does limestone handle hot blazing sun? Does is reflect or absorb heat well? (In Phoenix, AZ) These look great!

Absolutely–That's usually the case. However, the reason I ask is we have a terrazzo court yard and then a flagstone walkway and although the terrazzo is lighter, the (darker) flagstone is cooler to the touch. (Right now it's in the triple digits). Have you worked with "silver travertine"?
The attached picture of the terrazzo was taken in December, so it's not too hot for the poochies.
