The gates, arbor and pergolas are made out of cedar and then painted. The fence posts are just wolminized lumber, with a coated 1"x4" mesh to meet pool code. My goal was to have a live/green fence (boxwood hedge), so it made no sense to invest in a expensive fence that will be hidden.

Thank you for your quick reply! We just had a pool installed and have 4 acres and have always enjoyed not having a fence. We love your idea of the boxwood hedge instead of the standard pool fence. The rest of the pool and its surroundings are beautiful !
