Thats perfect! I wouldn't treat walnut any other way!!

That looks like steamed black walnut flooring. Many people are using Tung oil to finish their walnut floors now. Either way it would be important to only use a matte finish or else the flooring may look like an imported product. I'll attach a photo of an 8" wide black walnut floor we just made for a client in Cashiers NC.

The floors are an Appalachian walnut with a natural stain.
