What colour wood flooring for a small mint/aquagreen bedroom?

I'm finally taking out the nasty carpet out of my bedroom and replacing it with wood. I'm just not sure which colour I should go for.

My room is 9.5 ft by 11.5ft. My furniture is natural pine, though I'm considering painting it with either white or expresso or maybe a bolder colour

My walls at the moment are turquoise/aqua.

I MIGHT repaint is a slightly lighter mint colour, but I'm not sure.

My room is decorated somewhat shabby chic, which lots of florals, pinks, peaches, whites, and grey. I have pink bedsheets under a white and charcoal floral duvet, a delft vase of peach roses and pink and white cherry blossoms, assorted vases, damask candle holders, baroque photo frames... basically my style is shaby chic eclectic in the city!

Would a really dark cold-brown floor look nice, or overwhelming in a smal mint shabby chic room? Should I try a warmer colour, a lighter colour? a grey finish?

HI -- I would stay with a medium tone or a grey. But what are your other floors like . It is always best to keep all the flooring in your home consistant , I am a firm believer in having carpet in bedrooms , it's just warmer .

Your Google links are incomplete, they just go to the Google search page. I would go with a light color from what you have described, it will best compliment your walls and furniture. And dark floors are a nightmare to keep looking good!

lefty has a good point. The wood flooring in your home should be consistent. And I prefer carpet in the bedroom, too, unless there are allergy problems.

I have a small 550 sf condo. It's open concept with the dining area/living room having light wood, and the open kitchen has beige tiles. The bed room is closed.

I hate the carpet because the room is so small and the bed takes up so much room that vaccuming is a PITA! I'd rather do away with vaccuming and just quickly sweep up my room like the rest of the condo. Storage for a vaccum is limited. I have dogs too, so hair gets caught easier in fabrics. Also I just don't like carpet in general, always feels dirty and old to me. Not my style at all.

Personally, I think I prefer a dark cold-toned wood floor. It would add a bit more sophistication to a decor thats verging on childish. My main concern is... would dark flooring make an already small room feel smaller? Can I counteract that with lighter coloured walls? If I use lighter wood, would the room feel too childish?

Above I put up a pic that is the closest to the style I like tha I can find only, though I prefer peachy/coral pinks over the mauve, and a slightly more vibrant mint green, and more simple furniture.
The First aqua swatch is my current wall colour, the minty one is what I'm considering repainting. I will just put up swatches of flooring to give an idea.

The last one is similar to the flooring in the rest f the condo, though the actual flooring is a bit lighter/pinker, and very narrow planks.
