4 feet is too narrow.

You can do this but you will need to have a pocket door to enter a 4' wide shower at the end of the space but I would go with a glass door it will keep the room from looking too closed in. Something like this would work just put the vanity directly across from the entry.

Thanks. I love the wall mounted faucets. I think I will put the sink in across from the entry, and I have about decided to put a vanity that isn't as deep as normal.

I realize a glass door would look best, but I just do not want the maintenance the glass will require with our hard water. I will use a floor length shower curtain if the room is too narrow for a door free shower.

Our house was built in 1910, so I am hoping for a traditional look. I thought a subway tile in shower would be nice, and some where saw a light metallic one that would reflect light.

Currently, the door to this bathroom swings into the bedroom, but we can change it since this will all be taken out down to the studs. New fixtures, new floor, new walls, etc.

The style is up to you but this was just an idea for a very narrow bathroom , good luck with the reno post pics when it is done. Subway tile would be perfect.
