We are remodeling our kitchen with soft white cabinets, marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and polished nickel hardware for cabinets and faucets. I am working on a custom vent hood in brushed stainless steel. What I cannot decide is should I do the entire venthood in brushed stainless steel, or should I do the bands and edges in a polished stainless steel finish? Is that too many polished finishes? Will they clash, or complement? There will be cabinets with the polished nickel hardware on either side of it.
