Need Help with Closet Layout and opening into closet

We decided to built two 5x7 walk in closets. One for her and one for him. Please advise on the best layout of the closets and where to place the openings. I was going more towards to placing the opening into the closets from the little hallway in between the closets instead of placing the openings from the bedrooms because i did not want the closets to have a narrow walk-in, however i'm open to placing the entrance anywhere to get more use out of the closet . Our ceilings are very high about 12 ft. so we would like to use up the space up high as well. My husband has many suits and ties as well as casual clothes. I have a mix of everything. Also not sure on what to do with all the shoes and boots in boxes.

It looks like you have about 2 ft between the closets (width of the little hallway). In that case, you could do sliding doors. I wouldn't have the doors opening from the bedroom. I think it would make the hallway between the closets a bit claustrophobic. The doors would bring an opening to that hallway.

the width of the hall way is between 30-32 inches. if we are doing the entry to the closets from hallway then it will just be an opening with no sliding doors.

I, too, would do the opening from the hallway. I believe you need to allot a width of 20 in. for a garment hung on a hanger. I would suggest a layout as below. The opening could be 42 in. wide.You would have a space with a width of 44 in. to move and 104 in. of easy rod access plus 2 x 20 in. storage that is a bit harder to reach (the 2 shaded areas).

agreed with closet doors opening to the hallway.
