Selling house, should I update kitchen cabinets or buy stainless steel frig?

I'm selling my house. I have one of those generic oak kitchens. All my appliances are stainless steel except for the refrigerator. I can either update my cabinet doors to shaker doors with a 3" stile and rail or buy a stainless steel refrigerator. What should I do? The countertops are beige laminate and the flooring is oak. I own a cabinet door company, so the price is about the same. What would you want?

Cabinets would be a wiser update.

I agree because you can buy a refrigerator. It's harder and more expensive to get the doors replaced usually. I didn't know if buyers want to see matching appliances though. The refrigerator I have is white.

Can I see pic of kitchen. What colour is refrigerator & is it in good working condition.

I am recently retired home stager and I can confirm that the kitchen is one of the most important rooms for buyers. Money spent here and in bathrooms usually gets seller good ROI.

I agree that all matching appliances in the kitchen is the way to go. It makes the room look updated and cohesive to view. Your sight is broken up by mismatched appliances. Not sure what kind of cabinet handles are on the cabinets but you could always update with newer handles that would give the room an all around fresh new look.
