Would you suggest using a smooth paint finish when painting the tirm?

I understand trim can be done with either the stucco texture, similar to the rest of the house, or a smooth painted finish. I am wondering what would look best. Thanks so much for the help.

That is really a matter of personal preference. Most of the trim material we use is James Hardie. Most of our customers like the grain pattern on the trim. However, I have seen several homes with smooth trim and I love that look as well (it is actually my favorite personally). I really do not think there is a right or wrong answer, just what you think looks best. I am sure you can ask 10 different people the same question and they will all have a different opinion, but in the end it is your home, not theirs.

Is that hardiepanel? Was it hard to get the seams looking good? What method did you use, elastomeric caulk? It looks great btw!
