We are gradually redoing our kitchen. All the top cabinets are installed and they are hand made by a carpenter. We love them. He will be doing the bottom ones in the fall, followed by a new island, likely granite countertops in the black family, etc. The cabinets are natural hard maple (so light wood) with a trim at the top of black mahogany. Black matte button-like handles and latches. Our appliances are white and we are not replacing them since they are all fairly new. We are putting a range hood (not microwave) above the gas stove which has black grates and is an attractive stove. Our question is can we put a stainless steel range hood in instead of a white one? The white ones are pretty boring and we have seen stainless ones that aren't too big but are more attractive and interesting looking. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
