I think the self backsplash looks much better.

You can barely see the schluter trim, I wouldn't risk paint on that.

Once you have a shower curtain it will really be hidden.

You could have gotten white schluter instead of silver. Now that ship has sailed, try to look at it as a feature instead of a bug. It can't be changed at this point and it looks fine.

The backsplash that came with the vanity is much better than the tile.

I agree that backsplash that came with vanity looks best. Since you have to move the outlets, try turning them sideways / horizontal. You’ll have wall patching to do anyway but horizontal outlet in same general spot will be a smaller repair. The outlet shape will be a horizontal rectangle instead of a vertical rectangle - it’ll be a better shape following the shape of mirror, sink & towel bar. I did this change with my backsplash outlets in a subway tile in my kitchen. Made the outlets blend in more with the tile.

You can paint the Schuluter. It is metal. There is no risk to doing that..

I agree the silver Schulutter is a mistake and looks bad. Hang your shower curtain. Use the bathroom for 3 months. If it is still bothering you, paint them.

I’d go with no vanity splash. I’ve never had one. Clean the wall the same way you’d clean the splash.

Paint the schluter, use the counter match splash and put a less dreary color on the walls : )
